What's new

As conversion row rages on, Adityanath says will go to Aligarh on Christmas

Oh I read that garbage. Indrani is too busy trying to show how different he/she is from Muslims and Christians rather than focusing on the ultimate message of his/her religion. If a Muslim prays to the east hypothetically, Indrani will take joy in claiming that Hindus pray to the west to show that we are different. The fact that the prayer is ultimately the same holds no weight for Indrani
Only that the prayer is NOT the same at all!!! :D

One is general and other is exclusive.

Come now, stop with the affections. There is only so much love which any man can handle
You must be called names by your better half, no? :P

You did not understand. State one that denies Allah as well. Like Islam has the first pillar that states that only Allah is worthy of worship. You need to point out situations where Krshna states that divinity is his monopoly alone and no other God is worthy of worship. :)

And if I do, will you concede that your entire debate on this thread has been in vain and that I am correct ?? Yes or no ?

Anything that goes against your Nehruvian ideals is garbage of course. What is the ultimate message of my religion? Protect Dharma. Krishna did not play flute on the battlefield of Kurukshetra and claim that the kauravas and pandavas are the same. He exhorted Arjun to fight. Since in your world there are no kauravas and no pandavas, you neither know your Gita nor do you know the difference between Hinduism and Islam.

Also you claimed you are not interested in Islam, wonder why that is? Since all religions teach the same as per you, when I call you a Muslim you should be thrilled and not offended.

I have no problem praying facing east, west, south, north regardless of where and how Muslims pray. In fact, I would agree there is a great deal of similarity between Muslims and Hindus, only none between Islam and Hinduism.

Come now, stop with the affections. There is only so much love which any man can handle
Oh do not worry, the Nehruvian heart is bottomless pit. So it will never fill up.

lolwa @ those who believe abrahmic faiths are same as dharmic one . they believe in exclusivity of god. they believe man is superior over animals , we believe all creation is equal in front of god.

Sure. One occasion where Krishna mentions that all other Gods are false except him.

"Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto Me. I shall deliver you from all sinful reactions. Do not fear." [Bhagvad Gita, text 66]

"Whoever knows Me as the Ultimate and Only Supreme Personality of Godhead, without doubting, is the knower of everything" [Bhagvad Gita, text 19]

Now eat your words dude

Holy crap. :D Sir, I expected better from you.

1. The word religion is the crux here. A mistake in translation. The true quote is this -
sarva-dharman parityajya
mam ekam saranam vraja
aham tvam sarva-papebhyo
moksayisyami ma sucah

This is when Arjuna was having second thoughts about his dharma or duty as a soldier...Krshna gave this speech. This has nothing to do with Gods, nor with religion. He states that Arjuna needs to surrender his personal feelings for the greater duty that calls him.

2. This one was a lie.
The quote in Sanskrit is this -
tasmad asaktah satatam
karyam karma samacara
asakto hy acaran karma
param apnoti purusah

Therefore, without being attached to the fruits of activities, one should act as a matter of duty; for by working without attachment, one attains the Supreme.

There, that should clear your doubts there.

Bottomline: You are showing me occasions that established Krishna on the level of Divinity but he still does not negate the interpretation of considering Allah or Jesus or Shiva as Divine as well. :)

In order not to breach this forum's rules I will refrain from engaging with your innocent yet uneducated professed Hindu mind about religion any further. I suggest that you surrender your mind to a Guru (it's a pity that I am no longer based in India or else I would have volunteered to educate you spiritually oh innocent one) and that you focus on the true meaning of Sanathana Dharma. Kurukshetra is the battle of the good within your mind over the evil within you, so is Jihad in Islam and so is the concept of the Epistle of Timothy in Christianity. "Be the change you wish to see in others" [Mahatma Gandhi]

Incorrect. Jihad is not always or even mostly a battle in mind.

Sri Ganguly, I expected better of you. Let me help you out here (on a Pakistani Defense Forum) :-

"sarva-dharman (all varieties of religion/worship) parityajya (abandon)
mam (unto Me) ekam (only) saranam (for surrender) vraja
aham (I) tvam (you) sarva (all)-papebhyo (from sinful reactions)
moksayisyami (will deliver) ma (do not) sucah (fear)"

As for the second shlocka, you misquoted the shlocka I quoted

@PlanetWarrior was a hidden Hindutvawadi in disguise??

OMG I shared all our secret operations with him :drag:

I'm a R&AW agent dude.I'm a secret agent man. Need to know all the enemy's secrets :triniti:

Yeah Mahatma Gandhi was sleeping naked with nubile girls and even his grandniece and exhorting them to not sleep with their husbands. We know his kurukshetra. So you ardent follower of Gandhi? Sleeping, nubile, and all?

It is a chapter from Renunciation. And your translation word by word is correct, but in whole is not. I am not putting it out of my posterior.

The problem is in the first line itself.
Sarva dharma parityaja means forget all your duties and personal attachments. Arjuna is being persuaded to overcome his personal inhibitions for the War. This is accepted and beyond dispute.

Source: Bhagavad Gita As It Is, 18: Conclusion--The Perfection of Renunciation, Text 66.

Now that you have proved yourself uneducated on religion, why do you persist on proving to me that you are equally uneducated on politics and the life of Gandhi Ji? Rather not comment on things which you know little or nothing about which in your case seems to be everything
