India is doing fine, like someone said, its at India's pace, which I think is not bad considering the obstacles India face. Its the Indian media bragging and sensationalisation that is the problem.
Most people would prefer to work in Western countries where the working stress is less but remuneration is more. Working hours are long in Singapore, no fun at all. I have to guess because we are supposed to be anonymous here and I am annoyed by people assuming one must be Chinese if they are not anti China. Don't be surprised he may have a lot of Indian friends. Online Indians are a different breed, or maybe they are just posturing but very friendly in person. I grow up with a lot of Tamil friends eating appam and dosa, though I prefer roti prata now.

India had just annexed Goa after defeating the Portuguese and was the leader of the Non Aligned Movement. India was feeling invincible. With China reeling from their greatest famine and with low morale due to many dying from hunger, how could anyone say China was more prepared for war than India. From the records, India expected China not react to the Forward Policy of gradually grabbing land from China.
