I disagree and you are underestimating India too much, they are rather effective at promoting their narrative across the globe. And most common people even in those countries do not know and that is where Indian propaganda needs to be exposed.
I agree to some extent but I have also seen indianisms and the indian narrative fall on deaf ears. For some reason, non-indian people find it extremely difficult and awkward to relate to indians. For example, White people relate more easily and are more comfortable with Blacks and East Asians than they are with indians. Also, South Americans relate more easily with Pakistanis and Muslims than they do with indians. indian people are VERY different to the rest of humanity. They are almost a different species to other human beings.
