we dont waste bullets on your forces unless when required and when it has been warranted....if you skim the news in the past few months, your forces fired on our positions as well. So it works both ways.

Cross-LoC trade hit for fourth day, firing on - Indian Express

Trade across the Line of Control (LoC) at Chakkan Da Bagh remained suspended for the fourth day on Tuesday, as there was no let up in unprovoked firing by Pakistani troops who targeted forward Indian positions in the Krishna Ghati area of Poonch district.

A Defence Ministry spokesman told The Indian Express that Pakistani troops resorted to small arms fire on the Indian side around 9.15 am. The firing continued for nearly 15 minutes, but no casualty or damage to property has been reported.

Trouble along the LoC in Poonch district had erupted following firing by Pakistani troops in Sabzian area last week in protest against works undertaken by their Indian counterpart to repair the barbed wire fence damaged by snowfall in winter. Occupying heights overlooking Sabzian in the Indian territory, the Pakistani troops interrupted the repair work.

Continued ceasefire violation by Pakistani troops, which has been the longest and severest since 2003, has not only led to tension along the LoC, but also surprised many on the Indian side.

“They may be desperate to push in maximum number of militants into the state this summer and as such, they have been resorting to unprovoked firing at Indian positions so as to prevent it from undertaking any fence repair works erected along the LoC to check infiltration,” a source pointed out.

The cross-LoC trade had started through Poonch-Rawalakote and Uri-Muzaffrabad road in October 2008 as part of the confidence-building measures initiated by India and Pakistan.
