1. Wrestling- Yes, traditional sport, great deal of success in Indian Punjab (Punjab. Haryana, Delhi)- same culture, same genetics
2. Boxing- Same as above
3. Athletics- Focus on throwing; in running events cant compete with black athletes
5. Judo- Yes, same as 1,2
6. Taekwondo- Yes, same as 1,2
7. Hockey- Yes, traditional strength, needs organisation and finance
8. Football- Avoid- we are too far behind global standards and there are only two medals

I would add
1. Shooting - Tradition in KPK, military circles, India has got lots of medals too
2. Weightlifting- Same as 1,2

Regards

Agreed with you on including weightlifting. I missed that in my list. Also shooting. Yes we can do good in that and need to focus on it

The reason I included football is because it has a lot of following in Balochistan and KPK regions of Pakistan. You need to see local tournaments where thousands of local villagers etc gather to watch those matches between local clubs

In athletics we have good options in running too. Pakistanin runner Shajar Abbas managed to complete his 200 meters race in 20.89 seconds which is very very good. And that is without any good facilities and proper coaching and training

Pakistan and India have produced good runners like Milka Singh and Abdul Khaliq so we do have a chance in that too

He did that with an injured elbow. Hatts off champ.

After a few years a news will come that due to financial conditions these athletes have been forced to sell their medals in the market
This has happened in the past

You mean like the hockey team?

Pakistan and India have produced good runners like Milka Singh and Abdul Khaliq so we do have a chance in that too
India and Pakistan is teeming with sporting talents, only needs proper training and nourishment.

Gold with a taped elbow (1st picture). This man is a legend.
He was favorite to win medal in Olympics last year on same day

But unfortunately he fell a little short and couldn't even get into top 3
Indian neeraj won gold last year on 87 and arshad recorded recorded 90+ this year defeating that world champion peter who had crossed arshad' 88 in 5th attempt so arshad used all his energy and ended up on 90+

India and Pakistan is teeming with sporting talents, only needs proper training and nourishment.

India is better than Pakistan when it comes to looking after its athletes

Here now awareness is increasing to do something about sports other than cricket
