He threatened protesters with suicide bombings, didn't he? That makes good basis for non-bailable warrants. Failure to condemn peshawar attack won't fly in our courts, IMHO.

You couldn't be more wrong. Just a few days after the Peshawar Attack, the daughter of CJ HC Peshawar/KPK got married. Everyone "who's who" from the judiciary was there, so was I, and guess what? Nobody cared! It was all business as usual.....

ISLAMABAD: Senior Civil Judge Saqib Jawad issued an arrest warrant on Friday against Lal Masjid cleric Maulana Abdul Aziz while hearing a case filed by civil society members.

During the hearing, the investigation officer of the case requested the court to issue an arrest warrant for Abdul Aziz for investigation, based on a First Information Report (FIR) that was previously registered against the cleric at Aabpara Police Station.

Judge Saqib accepted the investigation officer's request and an arrest warrant was issued, which will be followed by the police taking legal procedures to arrest Aziz for further investigation.

The non-bailable FIR was registered under section 506 (2) of the Pakistan Penal Code which states punishment for criminal intimidation or threats.

Fuc* it. I'm tired of this never ending drama of being indifferent. Time to move on to greener pastures, where the grass is not red-with-blood at-least.

@Oscar: Implement the plan, 'Nation Five'! :D

MQM - PPP and ANP. I take it as the admission of guilt :D

This case wouldn't stand in courts...nothing will happen.

A couple of hearings and case will be dismissed.

That is what I meant. Courts will be more than happy to let him go if the case is based on his failure to condemn Peshawar attack. But threatening to blow protesters? Makes for a stronger case. You can't bet on it too, though! Judges are heartless spinmasters of law!

I have come to the conclusion that the majority of Pakistanis actually support the Taliban or at least are in different to the atrocities they commit.

The largest protest against the Taliban was from MQM, which is normal as they are always anti Taliban. But apart from a few hundreds who protested in the big cities, I didn't see any sort of negative reaction to the Taliban. Even now, on youtube etc, I am getting in to arguments with Pakistanis who say that Pakistani army is fighting the Americans war. And that the Taliban are truly Islamic.

Lal Masjid guy can sit in there with thousands of students barking against the children who died yet I hardly see any large protests against him. Sectarian outfits roaming freely, the Army turns a blind eye, politicians still protecting them.

Sad but true! PMLN/JI/JUIF has open relations with out fit banned groups and it's kinda hard for them to get rid coz they gonna lose a type of mentality in their vote bank, establishment other hand having Difa e Pakistan council and PTI also some un seen links with them. Whatever you gives the name they are all connecting with same chain = Terrorism/Inthe pasandi/sectarian hate etc. Civil society have more ball compare with these politicians.
