Even a major strike from a professional army cannot inflict this much damage in one go - American troops are not dummies.

Direct clashes between Taliban and US troops do not end well for Taliban in majority of situations as far as I know.

This is a step back if not many for the current peace process. This may harden US Hawks stance to stay and add more fire power, just what India wants, US to Stay so it could play.

In Afghanistan. USA is lost in the head, and what is happening on the ground is mere expression of it. If USA continues to stay, it will continue to suffer. For USA, it's not a matter of winning vs losing but losing yet admitting vs not admitting.
