Actually Earlier plan was to induct 145 Howitzers , with option of another 165 Howitzers after induction of First 145

These 145 Howitzers were Required to Replace 130mm M46 Guns currently stationed in Ladhakh and North East facing china as well as support the 2 newly raised mountain divisions
Now with India looking to add another 70000 Troops and a Strike corp , it is practically guaranteed that India will Place a Follow on order somewhere around 2014
Frankly I wont be surprised if IAF decides to place follow on order for another 25 Heavy Lift Helis after the initial order for 15 such Aircrafts , since all these will help improve our capabilities against china
