Army siezes huge arms cache in Kohat IBO

Security forces foiled on Tuesday an attempt to transport a huge supply of weapons from Darra Adam Khel, a frontier region notorious for being a hub of gun-making to Wana, the largest town of South Waziristan Agency in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata).

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), an intelligence-based operation (IBO), as part of the ongoing Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, was conducted near Kohat Tunnel. Two suspects, it said, were held during the raid.

“Huge cache of weapons (pistols, SMGs / rifles and ammo boxes) has been recovered,” the communiqué read. “The weapons and ammunition were being transported from Darra Adam Khel to Wana in a civil truck.”

Details of the weapons and ammunition seized by the security forces are as under:

Pistols

1. 30-bore pistol: 300
2. 30-bore pistol MSB SP: 5
3. 30-bore mouser: 6
4. Zigana pistol: 197 black
5. Zigana camouflage: 16
6. Beretta black: 30
7. Pietro Beretta golden: 4
8. Smith & Wesson: 20
9. Walther: 10 (7 x black 3x grey)
10. Mikarov: 26
11. Total pistols: 614
12. Total pistol magazines – 579

Other automatic weapons

1. A5.56mm rifle: 1
2. SMGs: 106

1. Short gun Kalakov: 2
2. LMG: 6
3. Automatic weapons: 115

More than 7,000 rounds of various caliber ammo was also recovered.

thats a lot of guns. @Icarus in a vice documentery they showed people making guns now dont you think these guns are being used against pakistan?

shouldn't they be shut down and be taught to make other things?

de-weaponization going on in FATA. Waziristan is cleared of weapons because only people without weapons were allowed to go back. I don't think these weapons were for militants, maybe to sell them to Waziristan people.

NATO supplied weapons are used by the Taliban...Afghan forces also sell em... how do i know? coz i have a few... courtesy afghan forces who sold em to dealers in Pak..

First few pics are all chinese weaponary legally imported as .223/ 5.56 is legal in Semi Auto set up
These weapons were busted because Dealer tried to make some extra cash & converted these weapons to Full Auto
then he sold them to Tangos on a higher price ----

in the last few pics all i see are some .44 bore local clones of AK, some bolt action rifles, 12g Shotties as AK & M4 clone (read Akdal mk1919) & itsy bitsy of M16 ......
