Army man held for law student's 'rape'

Army personnel are very much part of the society. With so much rapes going on in India, why should they be left out?

i hope victim is given justice...

just disgusting what we hear about nowadays in ineia

.
Need some serious purge of degenerates in the armed forces.

.
Could care less what Pakistanis think of our army.

Wow calling you a moron would be an understatement. Everyone is free to present their opinion and in this case it was just a gentle comment.

Indian Military going through serious disciplinary breakdown, lots of scandals coming out, what a disgrace to the nation

May be its about the time when our army chief should over throw our democratically elected government, disgrace our constitution and become the pride of our country!

.
With such a huge army there are bound to occur some cases of flaws within the army . It happens everwhere . Armymen are also humans or are they robots deported in the far end of their respective countries . If found guilty then proper procedures must advocate against him !!
There was no need to create a thread on this atleast !

Cool down guys, we are talking about +1 million men! Such things happen in every bigger institution.

But unlike other countries, especially in this region, the military is not above the law! Once it comes out, your career is practically over and you have to face legal and personal consequences.

.
Maybe you people just take it in your stride then...something like this happens, the whole cantt is given a thrashing down in Pakistan.

Says alot about your disciplinary standards.

BTW, any idea what was the rank of the accused?

The accused told that he is a Major, but he indeed only is a L/Nk (Lance Nike), while pursuing he did not tell that he is married and is also father of male child.

Be it India or any other country....if you give someone a gun with live ammunition and also the right to shoot, you will always find some b@stards misusing the power vested upon them. Females especially in parts of India with AFSPA are most vulnerable. During operation Bajrang and operation Rhino, lots of women in a certain part of India were victim of such atrocities to a particular Indian regiment. But the most difficult thing was to find the culprits, as with same build, beard and uniform they all looked the same in the eyes of the victim.

Army should be more strict and punish severely if someone is found guilty in such cases. Moreover the Army should allow jawans to take their families with them just to keep their conjugal demands in check.
