Army copter damaged after hitting barrier

it is obviously rotor



the damage is pretty bad. i have no expertise on whether it is fixable

nothing that cant be repaired. Heli will be back to service soon. Good for you that no one was injured.

Did you consider other factors, like technical and environmental?

Today's accident might be a technical one but the accident mentioned in this topic prolly looks pilot's bad judgment while landing the craft. Was the barrier not visible to him or he was just being complacent ? going by the picture posted in this topic. In the end we have lost 2 Mi17s, as the heli mentioned here may not be feasible to fly again. Whats wrong in assessing our pilot's landing skills again...who knows a better skillful pilot in today's accident could had handled the situation differently, if not better. Idea behind to reevaluate our pilot's skills is just to make them better not proving them inferior.
