Army chief threat to Afghan Govt

They were already present in Afghanistan since the times of the Soviets and stayed behind, after that they crossed into Waziristan and were given permission to stay, the tribes supported them initially in the sense or giving them a refuge or safe place.

It was only till they wanted complete control of the region they started beheading some of the elders and made links with the younger youth by giving them some power.

After this is how the lashkar were supported by Pakistan to fight back because some groups were against this.

then why is that today all the tribals are on the streets and abusing the army?? why is it that the tribals only hate army now? you know nothing about reality bro.
Those foreign jihads were used by US and our army against soviets, later on, the arab countries refused to take them back and thus this army placed them in tribal areas. I remember well, at the time, many tribals were against this move but as usual this dajjali army used excuses like religion and brotherhood to keep them in tribal areas.
later on, when they were activated again, the same army used them to kill the elders that were against the army drama. They did the same in swat. Howcome is it that only anti taliban elders are killed? why are pro taliban elders never killed by army?? we all know the reality know.
by the way, waziristan and other tribal areas are on the edge, and i really mean it, the media is totally silent but there are protests daily and ppl are abusing army openly and there is a big chance of uprising. The army will again say its terrorists fighting against army lolz.

Well they are abusing the army because when they finally cracked down on Waziristan it was very brutal and it also displaced a lot of families to do the operation, many people dead, infrastructure destroyed, people lost family. It was brutal. So people are very angry at this.

And yeah I know Waziristan is heated up, many people know this even if it isn't on mainstream news, there are videos you can sometimes find online but it's not shown on TV channels controlled by government

not just that, people saw how army helped and brought these taliban and then used operation against them as excuse. Ppl saw how army looted their jungles, fruits and recently its mines. Openly army is mining and taking trucks full of materials and selling them.

.
The good thing now in Afghanistan is the Talibans, the govt. and Talibans, the fighters or Sipahis are the same, there is no Civilian Military divide as we see in Pakistan and with unending struggle by the latter to overthrow the civilian govt. the reason Pakistan cannot progress and regressig fast, into a tailpsin, freefall.

Just as in Earlier Islamic period, in the Caliphates, the Sipah e Salaar and the Khalifa e Waqt were same, no division of military and civilians, the root cause of all the infighting and in order to make each one weaker, the country became weaker.

Don't shoot the Messenger.
First determine in your mind, is it correct or not?

Let's say out of 90k surrendered, 35K were active duty.
Did not they throw arms?
Is this picture not hung at Indian GHQ?
Didnt pakistan army refused to own shaheeds of kargil?
now this army has attacked its people all over the country.
This army fallen in greed and lust.
Just count their plots from major onwards to a Lt General? Dozens of plots valuing over billion.
For what service and achievement??
Break law, and constitution, and rule the country except doing the only duty they were raised - defend the country! Not to amass housing societies and protect them and their industrial empire.
Illegal businesses like smuggling of oil products from Iran border and like are not even counted.

What is different in his talk?

Asim muneer said.

“The surge in terrorism in recent past is a futile effort on the part of terrorists to get the talks re-initiated, however, there is no option for these terrorists except to submit to the writ of state of Pakistan before they are decimated, if they persist on their wrong path,”.

Here complete excerpt from dawn.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir on Monday said the “involvement of Afghan nationals” in terrorism incidents in Pakistan was “detrimental to regional peace [and] stability”.

The army chief’s remarks came days after the Foreign Office confirmed the involvement of Afghan terrorists in the last month’s Zhob cantonment attack.

A statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) today said that Gen Munir addressed the incident during a visit to the Martyrs’ Memorial at Bala Hisar Fort in Peshawar, where he met tribal elders from Newly Merged Districts (NMDs) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as well as notables from all walks of life.

“The involvement of Afghan nationals in terrorist incidents in Pakistan is detrimental to regional peace, stability and deviation from the Doha Peace Agreement by the interim Afghan government,” he is quoted as saying.

The agreement was signed in Qatar between the US and Afghan Taliban in February 2020 to bring an end to the 2001–2021 war in Afghanistan. The agreement ultimately led to the withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan on Aug 15, 2021 following two decades of occupation.

The army chief paid rich tribute to the sacrifices of the “brave and resilient tribals of Pakistan” and laid a floral wreath. He also appreciated their “indomitable resolve for standing shoulder to shoulder with the security forces in defeating [the] menace of terrorism”.

Expressing concerns over the “sanctuaries available to banned outfits and [the] liberty of action they enjoy on Afghan soil”, Gen Munir vowed, “Pakistan will spare no effort to dismantle terrorist networks and protect its citizens at all costs.”

The ISPR statement further quoted the COAS as saying: “With the unflinching resolve of the nation, Pakistan is successfully countering terrorism to enable a stable and peaceful environment for socioeconomic development in the area”.

It added that tribal elders assured the armed forces that the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and its ideology will “never be acceptable to any tribe and they will continue to stand with the state during the thick and thin”.

COAS emphasised the potential of Newly Merged Districts (NMDs) and on going efforts in uplifting the socio-economic growth under the umbrella of Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).

The army chief also said that “KPK province is blessed with huge reserves of Mines & Minerals, also beautiful areas for tourism which will certainly change the destiny of the area for the good of the people.”

“Pak Army stands with our tribal brothers and will never leave them alone as over the years they have given innumerable sacrifices for the peace and prosperity of the motherland. It’s time to develop all tribal areas and concentrate on youth” the COAS remarked.

The COAS reiterated the resolve of Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps and other Law Enforcement Agencies in their fight against terrorism, till elimination of this menace from the country.

“The surge in terrorism in recent past is a futile effort on the part of terrorists to get the talks re-initiated, however, there is no option for these terrorists except to submit to the writ of state of Pakistan before they are decimated, if they persist on their wrong path,” he said.

Gen Munir reiterated that “propaganda by inimical forces” against the armed forces of Pakistan, will be dealt as per the Law.

Paying tribute to brave tribesmen, officers & soldiers of Pak Army, FC, Levies, Khasadars and Police, COAS vowed that sacrifices of Shuhada will not go in vain and complete peace will return to Pakistan, InshaAllah.

The army chief’s remarks also comes a day after Afghanistan’s supreme leader warned Taliban members against carrying out attacks abroad, according to Afghan Defence Minister Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid.

Pakistan has repeatedly raised concerns over the use of Afghan soil by militants for cross-border terrorism.

The country has seen an uptick in terror activities, especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, after the outlawed TTP ended its ceasefire with the government in November last year.

Recently, an attack on a military installation in Balochistan’s Zhob Cantt, and another attack on security forces in Balochistan’s Sui resulted in the deaths of 12 soldiers. This marks the military’s highest single-day death toll from terrorist attacks reported this year.
Wake we up when he actually bothers to do something. Otherwise I have listened to these filmy dialogues for past 20 years.

Afghan Taliban Chief Deems Cross-Border Attacks on Pakistan Forbidden or “Haram”

The supreme leader of Afghanistan’s ruling Taliban has labeled cross-border attacks, including those on Pakistan, as “haram” or forbidden under Islam.

Senior Taliban leaders communicated the “diktat” or decree from Hibatullah Akhundzada to Pakistani officials during recent bilateral talks to underscore their determination not to allow anyone to threaten other countries from Afghan soil, highly placed official sources in Islamabad told VOA.

The issue figured prominently during the three-day meetings Asif Durrani, the special representative on Afghanistan, and his delegation held last month with Taliban Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi and Interior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani, among others, in the capital, Kabul.

The visit took place amid a surge in deadly attacks on Pakistani security forces and civilians, with the outlawed Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, or TTP, claiming responsibility for plotting much of the violence.

In Swat, army was involved in smuggling of timber from the famous Kalam forest which is a protected one and even the locals protect it but one time they were cutting the trees in nightime and locals surrounded them and beat the hell out of them and burnt their vehicles and now army just lingers around their quarters there and does not even dare to involve in anything local.
