This is how these things seem to go. For whatever reason this particular incident was picked up by the media perhaps because of the brutality of the crimes or whatever all other similar stories were pushed to the side. Similar happens with most major news events- look at the school shooting a few weeks back that same week saw many other gun related homicides but almost 0 media coverage. It must be incredibly disheartening if you are one of those victims who no seems to care about by your plight is just as bad as the one everyone is talking about.
