Moscow, Russia: International Military Technical Forum “ARMY-2015″ has started in Moscow. This international forum has been planned by Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation that will attract armed leadership from all over the world during June 16 to June 19.

The best way to assess the scale of the event can be judged by the inauguration of the event by President Vladimir Putin. Exhibition of military hardwares is established at “Patriot Park in Kubinka area of Moscow district. Over 5000 hectares park was created this year as this area was just a forest in January.

“Strategic Missile Forces as a high-technology branch of arms of the Russian Armed Forces has rich experience of participation in exhibitions of innovative technologies including international ones. However, the Forum will not only demonstrate the power of the national military hardware, but also to look into the future of the missile industry and to assess the innovative breakthroughs in the modern army,” emphasized Sergei Karakaev.

Within the scientific and business programme of the “Army-2015” forum, the SMF will be represented by: the 4th Central R&D Institute of the Russian MoD, SMF Military Academy named after Peter the Great.

“In the course of round-table discussions, they will consider the issues of creation of the physical protection for strategic missile complexes as well as their recycling,” told the Commander of the Strategic Missile Forces.

According to him, there is an opportunity to cross the strict line of technical design specifications and projects, properly discuss the topics, and shape the plan of future cooperation.

“No doubt, the Forum will boost development of Defence Industry Complex of Russia and Military-Scientific Complex of the Russian Defence Ministry, improving cooperation between them, performing more difficult tasks in order to ensure security of the Russian Federation,” said Sergei Karakaev.

A high powered military delegation from Pakistan headed by Chief of Army Gen. Raheel Sharif is visiting the event.

Correction......because we fell in the lap of the west, we ourselves shortsightedly torpedoed our chances of a patch up with the Soviets. Commies is the wrong group to blame here, we developed our relationship with the Commie China and totalitarian North Korea, didn't we?
Soviets really wanted Pakistan for their geo-strategic gains...imagine Afghanistan in their lap and Pakistan offering access to them right at the mouth of the Persian Gulf....in the face of USA. Bhutto did make some gains on the Soviet front, but thanks to Zia ul haq, that all went in vain.

We should develop relation with Russia like we had with the West during 1960 Era. Better relation with Russia is must. It doesn't mean we split up with west but currently we have more advantage with Russia compared to USA as Russia can sell very good weapons to pakistan and help in other security related matters as well.

No, the Russians dont love India as much as the Indians like to think. They love what India offers them; access to the Indian ocean and a constant source of income from weapons sales. Now if there is a direct threat to those sales from the United States(nothing cheeses off Russia more)... then there is a need to compensate for it. This isnt Russia just trying to make up for lost sales in India, it is also telling India that if you go to our chief rival.. we will go to yours; and that Pakistan has no problem with exploiting nor the Russians in giving.

The same way China lets us purhcase billions, the same way we purchased the Erieyes, the same way we purchase the Cobras.. Funds from the countries themselves.

The Erieye purchase was financed by a Swedish bank.. in essence the money never left Sweden.. but it still helped keep the jobs running whilst brining in the interest as the income.

The JF-17(and a host of other projects).. financed by China.. the Money then keeps a program with Chinese stake running whilst literally paying for itself(in more ways than one).

The AH-1Zs.. when and if bought.. the amounts from the CSF and elsewhere.. the money comes back to the US.

That is how it is done...and will be done to a large extend in Russia.. a LC will be issued and a partial loan taken.. work will ensure Russian mouths are fed.. and economy pushed around its wheel.. and money made from the interest. TADA!!!
