And what kind of bridges India has where 50 Tonn T90 can pass but 60 Tonn Arjuna can't??? I agree every bridge has max load bearing point..
It is known fact that due to low ground pressure/inch Arjuna is better than T90 (In Mobility). Problem comes where Arjuna face a bridge which can not hold more than 50 tonns..
For those scenario BLT are there, and if the water is less, Tank can cross the river as well..
Its non sense about the weight. If rail can carry then increasing the axles reduces the load per axle and bridge mostly will not collapse if the span of the wagon is longer and the member distributing it is beyond columns or other vertical member. during operation neither T90 nor arjun can use any bridge. cos without trailer tanks are like point load and bridge will fail. 70 ton is quite a weight for such short distance. you cannot use flat bed to carry tank during war. only option is BLT.
