For example, MIDHANI under atomic energy department works with both ISRO & DRDO.

There is no other option in India as far as aerospace alloys are concerned.

Indian Space & missile programs parted their ways in the early 1980s. PSLV was designed in the late 80s/early 90s & is pretty low tech by today's standards.

Both have a completely different approach to similar problems and have been hence designed specifically for those. Consider this, for a marksman to be trained on a .50 cal, he must clear the marksman training from 45acp, 5.56 and .308 marksman training school. That's how you build up skill. Though this is a very loose analogy but you get my drift.

Actual benefit lies in training a crew. By the time our own SSBN is up and running we will have a crew which had got its rough edges trimmed and smoothened on a SSGN. This might not be the ideal scenario but no one leases SSBN. After we have a good SSBN fleet we can train the new batches on those.
