UK cannot do anything to this deal and they won’t. They sell weapons to India, have we ever said anything? And they have no influence over Pakistan. Even if they did, China would go through with the deal anyways.

Block 3 definitely needs to be exported, it will sell much faster than Block 2. A few countries have been waiting to buy it. It will not be downgraded, why should we? we want them to sell after all. It has no strategic tech in it.

Very likely approved. Argentina has no choice. No western arms becos of UK influence. Russia only accept cash. Chinese weapon is the only option.

Argentina will never buy France weapon again. Has France not delayed the shipment of Exocet anti ship missile to Peru in 1982. Argentina would have won the Falkland war by sinking HMS invincible.

India not only offers the jet but also TATA truck so the jet can move easy!

The deal fell through bcuz Argentina only wanted to pay for the jets and not for the trucks

French may offer Rafale but it costs around 200 million dollars. Keeping in view current economic situation, Argentina cannot afford french deal. They have to go for "poor man's" option ie JF-17.

The JF-17 is the only viable option for Argentina. Anything with UK parts is being boycotted by the UK. And the JF-17 can be bought with Chinese ejection seats, instead of UK’s Martin Baker.
As the HAL Tejas is equipped with Martin Bakers, the Tejas is also not an option for Argentina.

Putting Pakistan on red list despite of scientific data, was the real concern. Whether India on red or Amber, was a pure business influenced decision. Pakistan was somehow targeted for some kind of pressure as there was no other reason to do so. This is acknowledged widely in top circles.
