To compare both fighters, you give advantage to J 11 by saying that it was an old version with old BVR and electronics which will necessarily improve with time. However, you forgot that Gripen E has also come and it also uses the best electronics and Meteor as BVR. It can shoot down any Chinese plane even before they can see Gripen because of its low RCS, Ultra Modern AESA and Meteor like BVR. It has European Electronics against Chinese electronics which even Pakistan is unwilling to use provided they have any other option.

So far as Tejas is concern, it is not at all expensive looking to Capability it offers. Best EW, Top class AESA, Top class BVR and WVRs. Tejas uses open system architect which allows it to use different origin weapons. We have integrated R 77, I derby, Python V, Astra Mk1, SAAW, Hammer, Spice, Sudarshan, Gauthan, Guruthama etc. Tejas outclass any fighter of its class.
Is that why it has more hours traveling on a flat bed truck than traveling in the air?

BTW, JF-17s thundered in Indian occupied J&K in Feb 2019 with Tejas nowhere to be seen. Well, gutless Tajas are considered may be a fourth or third rated defence by the IAF. When Thundered visited Indian occupied J&K, IAF's first rated plane (SU-30mki) and second rated one (i.e. M2K) felt it safe to ran away rather than facing Thunders in Indian occupied airspace. A very heavily updated Mig-21 in sheer stupidity tried it all and they then dived to the earth. Even his wingman found it safe to go cold (meaning showed his back and ran away).

JF-17 "shies away" from airshows Tejas participates in the same way Tejas "shies away" from JF-17 in airshows where JF-17 participate and Tejas does not. In the same way F-22 shies away from J-16 in airshows J-16 participates in. It's fucking only Indian "logic" that enables such stupidity.

As for J-11 vs Gripen E LOL as we modified J-11 series... well Gripen E is 2010s readiness fighter and developed in 2000s. J-11B is 2000s readiness developed in 1990s. Still 10 years older than Gripen E. J-11 series is our weakest 4th generation in service fighter. We have J-16 which kicks Gripen E's *** from front to end and fucks up the next Gripen after it. You can have Gripen X and PLAAF will tear those chicks apart. They can try it if they don't think so. Let's let Gripen try even take on some Migs for now and it hasn't even been able to do that. J-16 is still also by itself nothing compared to J-20 + J-16D + Y-8 and Y-9 + KJ-500 + KJ-200 + KJ-2000 + UCAVs. That's PLAAF you can throw your piece of street shit Tejas in their thousands at this force and it'll be like throwing rotten eggs against a mountain. Gripen is shite. Thai training in leaked briefings show Gripen C got fucked beyond comprehension by even J-10A. J-10A managed to tear Gripen Cs whichever way and every way. J-11B fucked Gripen after that. You want to take the J-11A being defeated by Gripen C in BVR well the same sources also said J-11B and J-10A fucked Gripen in both BVR and WVR.

Gripen is not F-16 of same generation.

Gripen C would beat F-16A in BVR too. Have you thought about that? So what though? F-16 is miles better than Gripen of same generation. Just like J-16 is miles better than Gripen E in BVR and J-16 is older than Gripen E.

Right now, J-16 is already can be considered old for PLAAF. J-16 is now shifting towards electronic war aircraft with specialized roles no longer as a heavy weight fighter. The range and energy advantage of flanker being used for electronic warfare only with certain air to air and air to ground special purpose tasks to have an offensive aspect to EW main role. PLAAF is at UCAV swarm and J-20S directed UCAV swarm level. Smaller drones for swarm is another easy thing. They'll show and reveal this level when they are already on the next generation. Meanwhile India is struggling to even make MK1A and still wetdreaming about MK2 junk Tejas.

The aesa on the J-11 or similar chinese aircraft would be almost twice the size of aesa in the Gripen.

Gripen has shown the world how to install tier 1 EW package in an average to good aircraft and make it very very potent---.

Others have had the time---and have progressed in leaps and bounds to develop their machines---.

Seems like your IQ is about the same as HAL and your PM: JF17 has been to Farnborough and Dubai Air Show multiple times. Your IAF has put Tejas ONCE at a loser second tier airshow in Bahrain and it flew and equally loser (and deserved) sunset slot when nobody was there.

Thats to be expected when IAF is forced down a plane and it has now choice that its first few squadrons were in southern and central India vs. replace the Mig-21s on the border.

Please provide the link of Liquid cool version. SO far as I know, KLJ 7 is an air cooled AESA which itself is an indicator of less powerful Radar which consumes lower electricity and doesn't heat too much because of that.

As for JF-17 block 3's AESA radar, do we even know which one the PAF ended up selecting? There was the Italian AESA choice, the air cooled choice and a liquid cooled one. Indeed the JF-17 has to use a smaller less powerful AESA due to cooling requirements and available power from auxiliary units but the Tejas also uses a tiny low power AESA. The difference is the Tejas uttam is an Indian first attempt at AESA. Not even IAF is using it that's how shit it is.

You are very correct. If Chinese AESA consumes more electricity, yet it will be less powerful than European, Israeli or US radar. Here it consumes less electricity. In addition, it is a Chinese Radar. So we can guess the tracking range of Chinese Radar.
