Well for Muslims they don’t view it from nationalistic point of view which didn’t exist back then. They consider these figures as people who brought the faith to them and not Indians vs foreigners thing. Today many Sindhi nationalists consider dahir as a hero who fought against an Arab invaders while the religious view him as pagan who fought against the people who wanted to bring them the true faith.

Not only that, all the Pakistani restaurants I frequent are filled with South Indians speaking their Tamil/Telugu/Malayalam languages. Luckily they don't stink up the restaurants. I know some of them and they avoid Indian restaurants because the North Indians look down on the South Indians. Whereas us Pakistanis are extremely tolerant of all people, which is primarily our weakness.
