What's new

Are you not ashamed of yourselves?

That last picture is an example of how superstitions and irrational thoughts are conquering the minds of even educated Indians..indians including the most educated ones are one of the most superstitious race among civlised societies(underline the phrase among civilized societies)

You sound like a mullah. Everything you have no grasp of or understanding of is superstition. In you contempt for Hindu religion and rituals you behave no different that a Pakistani mullah.

Believe me if i posted this type of pic you people demand mods to ban me. Anyways i feel good to know that you people also dislike superstitions.

What is wrong with the pic?

Those are pics in different contexts. The first few are in a Gurudwara in Punjab where a belief has built around a Gurudwara that if one offers a toy plane, then it becomes way easier to land a visa or a job abroad.

The last one though is a puja ceremony for the new planes Air India inducted. It is like a blessing being performed for the aircrafts so that it does not face mishaps.
which i mention in my post sir

nope, I've never demanded someone be banned because something offended me

people make "temples" for anything, movie stars, sportsmen, politicians, it's just a way to show adulation, quite harmless really :)

they also make all sorts of offerings to the many gods, rain gods, wealth god, knowledge goddess.. offerings can be sweets, rice, money, alcohol even aeroplane models or animals sacrifices.

this is all part of our culture, I like it, many gods, many beliefs, many schools of thought.. let people do whatever they like, no rigid "punishment is death" bs here

4% for a superpower such ask India is a big number. So I guess India is happy for such a big remittances.
a high level international affairs wumaodang such ask yourself shouldn't be making horrible revealing mistakes such ask those.

5 dolla fine, bad wumaodang, you hear me ? 5 dolla fineeeeee

Goats sacrificed to fix Nepal jet

nepal-airlines.jpg

Nepal's state-run airline has confirmed that it sacrificed two goats to appease a Hindu god, following technical problems with one of its aircraft.
Nepal Airlines said the animals were slaughtered in front of the plane - a Boeing 757 - at Kathmandu airport.

The offering was made to Akash Bhairab, the Hindu god of sky protection, whose symbol is seen on the company's planes.

Aren't they supposed to be vegetarians?

Aren't they supposed to be vegetarians?
Our diet is dictated by the terrain around us...Nepal is a hilly area where vegetable production definitely can't be as high as india..they can't go around preaching vegetarianism...even Buddha was a non veg...tomorrow if Gujarat turns to a semi desert I am sure even people there will take to meat.
