South Asians as a whole are racist people. Let face it we all know how much we dislike the "kaalays".

Not true. When you go to a Masjid in North America you will see how friendly Pakistanis are with other races. Indians, however, are racist towards African-Americans. I dont know what they got against African-Americans.

if anyone from subcontinent converts to hinduism he/she will remain in same caste he/she formerly belongs to but if any foreigner converts then there is no caste for him/her.

I cant speak for Bangladesh but in Pakistan no one has Brahmin Dalit castes or superior inferior castes. The castes we have (Jatt, Gujjar, Rajput, Syed) are not like your castes. Every caste in Pakistan think theirs is superior. Theres no setup like Hindu castes of who is more superior.

And the caste system is a very important part of Hinduism so I dont have how a European Christian could convert to Hindusim.

yes u can you practice hinduism without belonging to any of its sect/castes. ppl of all castes practice hinduism in almost same way, it is not like if one's caste is diff then his/her way of practicing is also diff.

yes considering how much emphasis is on gora color: "Gore rang ka zamana kabi ho ga na purana..Goray goray mukrey chand k tukrhey..gori hein kalayaan.. gorey gorey mukhrey pe kala kala chushma lol hahha

I am sure many girls cannot get into the film industry simply because of their skin color even if they are good actress..now look at katrina kaif..do she know acting ? she cannot even speak hindi properly then what she is doing in hindi cinema lol

North Indians? loool Marathis are considered north indians genetically and linguistically who live in further south than Gujaratis so how are Gujaratis not north indians?

So you might wanna change it to 'Punjabis' Btw I know for the fact Hindu Sindhis don't like gujaratis specially gandhi because he allowed hindu-majority areas of sindh to become part of pakistan. And punjabi vs gujarati thing is probably to do with the fact that they are the only 2 dominant indian groups outside india.

hafiizz my friend ,don't you have something better to do other then your usual tirade against india now on subject, indians like all the other nations has their pros and cons , they have some beautiful values of socialism & some ugly ones its present in every society have you ever met an angelical christan's from the U.S they can give indians a run for their money when it comes to sarcastic racism plus we Muslims also have our share of social devisions i am a Bangladeshi/Canadian tell me don't we have the poisonous views of ziauddin Barani who introduced this menaces in our Muslim social structure based on the Ashraf/Ajlaf/Arzal/ plus don't we have Gujarism/syedism/the two Arabs/ Arab & ajnabi/Arab&Persia division in our society look what has this done to the Islamic power base inflicted with the conflicts based on sectarianisms, ethnic-ism,regionalism had this not been planted by our own people then we would still be a power to reckon with why did we had our downfall do you want to know ? i ask you oh brother then take your time & carefully observe the following historical introspection of our downturn see we had our down fall because of this division among Muslims it only happened when we fought against our own brother's turks vs Shiite/Arab vs turk/ arungzeb vs the nizams /afghan vs the mughal/oudh bringing in the peshwas against the mughals etc etc etc see i am a Muslim & i want the Muslims to rule believe me my heart longs for it but with out introspections on our social division can we get in their no & what we do instead we waste our valuable time on the subject of racism in india yes their is racism in india i find Maharashtra & gujarat the worst case of them but i also appreciate the humble & tolerance culture of kerela a beautiful place with beautiful people the religious harmony of west bengal the joyful culture of Calcutta, the friendly people of Punjab,delhi,bihar,the colorful people of the north east the sober nature of the south indians etc

I agree.

However I would say that she shouldn't need to speak Hindi properly to act in Hindi cinema. She could act in a role of a foreigner, desi, or someone from a pseudo-English family (like the rich people that pretend to be English). Of course, she'd still have to be able to act... Which she can't...

oh! come on guys, just because the ugandu hafizz says that we are racist doesnt mean we are racists. The whole caste structure in India will die out in the next 30-40 years as the younger generation takes power. I have been studying all the way from 1st to 12th in Kendriya Vidyalaya and I have met people from all around the country as my mom is a kv teacher. She gets transferred and me and my sister tag along.

I was in Gujarat during the Godhra riots. I know how much the educated Hindus and Muslims supported each other. I have lived among the Badga community in the Nilgiris, who are one of the scheduled tribes. I know what their conditions are like and how much help they are getting from the government. I have lived in different parts ok kerala and I have seen the amount of unity and tolerance people of different faiths can exhibit.

Dont let some Ugandu and some pakistanis come and start telling us about how racist and caste ridden society we are without realising the ground realities. I openly challenge you guys to come to India and experience what communal harmony feels like. Just because your backyard is dirty doesnt mean that ours is too. Indians know how to stay together and survive among our enemy, no matter the enemy is Hindu, Muslim, Isai or Sikh.

Cant say about you guys. You guys are yet to hit the rock bottom. Good luck with the deep dive . I wouldnt have typed out the last part, but you guys were just itching for it.

When talking about racism, its not a group item. Its more of an individual trait.

I myself have many Indian/ Hindu friends. Knowing I am a Pakistani, never had I any racist encounter.

Racism is more prominent and especially on forums like these.

Thats so true. When you talk to Indian Punjabi Sikhs in North America. You will notice that they dont even consider South Indians as their people. They say why should we when we can't even speak the same language and have totally different culture from them, and look totally different from them.

Most Indians belong to central/south India.

You are generalizing a lot. One of my best friends sense kindergarten is a Sikh, he or his family \didn't alienate me because im from S. India. And we all consider ourselves Indians.

Most Indians are in fact from the North. Northern States like UP are the ones producing the most babies and that state alone has like 200+ Million people in it. Almost more than all of Southern India.

In Pakistan we dont have superior-inferior castes set in stone like Hinduism. Every caste in Pakistan thinks their caste is superior.
