Is that possible for all Southeast Asia country encounter with China in SCS.
Are these countries already together with the same role.
I think Thailand is supporting China in SCS.

1. Not all ASEAN countries have SCS issue with China except PH, VN, Malaysia and Brunei.
2. Trade dependant with each other (especially with China) mean most of the countries play the game smart instead of direct confrontation.
3. At this stage, only PH and VN have issue with China. The other two countries just sit back and watch. Some countries try to pull other nations into the dispute to gain support but failed.
4. Whole ASEAN cant unite because of their differences. U got first, third world countries and failed states in the same region. Different religions, languages, cultures and internal security issue in various countries... good luck.

Territory and sovereignty are the first priority , trade is a optional .

In reality, it is different story.
Like what China and Japan did few decades ago, put the Diaoyu/Sensaku issue aside, normalise the relation and improve the trade and economy (hence improve living standards...)
No one ask you to sell ur territory for money...

Malaysia and Brunei do not have issue. Stop making up stories. Only pinoy and vietnam are the 2 naughty countries.

I'm not sure about Brunei; but in Malaysia, gov control the media to a certain degree (just like in China).
Normal citizen don't discuss these issue either they don't know much about this (because gov control the flow of information behind the scene) or they are not interesting (too busy with internal politic). However, for those interested in military (like this forum) or work in military/foreign affair, they know whats happening.

Back to reality, normal people can't do much (we don't do what Vietnam did, go 'partying' on the street ), gov can handle this behind the scene.

Malaysia Splits With Asean Claimants on China Sea Threat - Bloomberg Business

China even allow Malaysia to conduct an offshore drilling inside one of the area claim by China recently. China has enough trust with Malaysia and no issue from Malaysia side. While it will not be same for vietnam and Philippines.

Because the current gov handle the issue behind the scene. If they able to work out win-win situation with everyone involve, why not... our national revenue depend a lot from oil and gas industry.

 you are very upset Malaysia is smarter than vietnam? Malaysia are more rational people, they don't embrace nationalism blindly. Nationalism must come with real strength. Country don't have real substance and blindly believe nationalism will triumph all are courting death.
