Festival?? Why do they need a festival to show off your loyalty to background when you have villages in every city (big and medium) exclusively inhabited by them. You mau want to Google search "kampung Arab" which mean little Arab or village of Arab. There hundred of them here in Indonesia

There is nothing like that. The old Arab immigrants dissolved and then adopted local cultures in provinces where they belongs to. The only thing that can distinguish them physically is their huge nose and hairyness, also their "towelheads" style. Tbh it's hard differentiate between Arab and Indian as all of them look the same. If there are any of them cultures left, then I'll be seeing this belly dance every weekend. Haha

The Arab village that the goy mentioned is FAR from the culturally Arab that you can thought of. It's a backward place and almost close to becoming a slum.

There is one arabies infested holiday place in puncak Bogor. It was a very nice place before arabies infestation bringing in prostitutes both from their homeland and even localized Arab women. There are news about it although its in bahasa Indonesia

Today the place is in package along with afgan refugees we took in. Hopefully the afgans can teach those Arabs how to be a decent human, although I very much doubt that....

well i am not anti arab, thanks for confirming my point though.. Those who migrated centuries ago are assimilated into locals and nothing of Arabia is left among them except genes.

They can't be A-rabs. True Arabs are from MENA near Northern Europe and real Arabs there look something in between a German and tall Latvian.

I did not say that. But the Arab Indonesian still withold with their tradition the same way Indonesia Chinese still practicing their tradition. Some of the Arab tradition such as clothing, spices, music etc. have been absorbed into local tradition.

Yes. Most Arabs here (exclude the recent arrivals) have been fully assimilated. I had several Arab families as my neighbors back in my home town, grew up together with their kids. For the most part, their lifestyle is not different than non-Arab Indonesians, however they do still maintain their own tradition, and some are still against marrying non-Arabs. The same can be said about Indonesian Chinese and Indonesian Indian/Pak.
