Arabs or non Arabs ancestry...How does it matter now? Even if someone is has Arab ancestry, I am sure Arab countries will not give him/her the citizenship of their country.

Arabs don't believe that Pakistanis have Arab ancestry. The reason why NS was allowed exile in KSA was because relations between Pakistan and KSA. Similarly, RS is 'leading' the Islamic army because KSA wants Pakistan to be part of that Islamic alliance for which Pakistan has shown reluctance to join.

What he is saying is the opposite to your interpretation. What he is saying is that if only 1% of Pakistan's population has Arab ancestry, why majority of Pakistan claim that they have Arab ancestry?

My original comment stated that nobody here claims to have Arab ancestry.

Pakistanis are Arabs and Turks, Bangladeshis are timurids.

I'd say it would be more like 3%, in terms of who has any relatedness to Arabs.

The OP, written by a Pakistani, suggest otherwise. I too know many Indian Muslims that claim Arab ancestry.

Some of them have genuine claims, I've not met a single Pakistani yet who falsely claims to be Arab.

I cannot vouch for Pakistani claims. I am working in Hyderabad, India, a city where almost half the population is Muslims. And I have interacted with them a lot in daily life...I have attended some of their marriages too. All I can say is that I have heard a lot of them say that their ancestors are Arabs. And this is irrespective of their position in the society from very poor Muslims to rich Muslims.

They could have a point, especially if they have specific names like Syed or Qureshi.

Shia's in particular across the subcontinent have a high amount of Arabs among them (they tend to flaunt it more).
