What's new

Arab countries at the 2015 AFC Asian Cup

I will also re-quote this post on friday :lol:

@1000 @Malik Alashter You guys are next:devil::devil::devil:

Wonderful. Just wonderful.

So, so happy. The penalties almost gave me a heart attack.

Insha'Allah Iraq will win the whole tournament like in 2007 when the country was in civil war too.

Celebrations in the blessed Adhamiyyah.

In Nasiriyah in the South;

Mabroooooooook brothers! Happy day for us.

@1000 @Alshawi1234 @Malik Alashter @1000and1night

I missed it

What were you thinking about? Seriously?

UAE also defeated Japan and now we have 2 Arab teams in the semi-finals. So much for all Arab teams being crap. Idiots.:lol: Never underestimate us Arabs.

Especially that Eritrean fool here who has done nothing but insulting us on PDF. I hope that you are embarrassed after your comments yesterday.

@Saho

"Crappy" UAE just defeated the defending champions and favorites!:rofl:

Holy crap, Japan is out as well (on penalties).

Abdul-Rahman (in reality a Saudi Arabian of Yemeni origin on his father's side - born in Riyadh - should have played for KSA but the incompetent and demonic FA showed no interest in him) was toying with Japan. He is such an amazing player. Only 23.

Anyway I am not going to gloat. Iran has a talented team and will probably do better in the next AFC 2018. I hear that the host will be decided this year and it is between KSA, UAE and Iran. I believe that UAE will win but you newer know. Maybe Iran will host it.

Highlights from the Iraq-Iran game;

In all seriousness all those cocky Iranian fans on Facebook, Twitter etc. must be all quite now and embarrassed considering their behavior throughout the tournament.

Probably UAE should host it. Its the most liberal out of the three.
Neither Iran or KSA are host friendly countries, because of strict laws. I dont believe many would want to come.
On the other hand, Dubai is world known tourist place, so it would attract a lot of supporters.

KSA hosting an international football tournament is a no-go due to the moronic rules currently in place. Sadly King Abdullah wanted to reform all that but he could not succeed fully due to ultra-conservatives but had he lived 20 years more he would have eventually.:(

UAE has many major cities and new stadiums and the infrastructure at place. A nightlife, beaches etc. so people from abroad (especially if they are coming from Australia and East Asia) will feel at "home". The laws of KSA and Iran are just not family friendly. For instance in terms of women etc. It's a shame because we are talking about the two biggest ME countries with big potential for hosting sports tournaments.

Yeah king Abdullah seemed like reformist but he was probably held back or restrained by many of the ultraconservative clerics.
So how is the mood in KSA right now?

Yes, by people such as this one on the right.

Looks harmless and innocent but we are talking about the most conservative person on the planet.:lol:

The mood is that of mourning obviously and genuine sadness (unlike when Fahd passed away IMO) because King Abdullah was a great friend of the people and actually served the people. He worked tirelessly to improve KSA. He will be missed. I am normally not the person that "worships" persons blindly but thinking about his death made me sad and I wanted to honor him and express my sparrow by having him on my avatar.

Younis Mahmoud whom I have insulted for years and during this tournament scored once again mind you.

The old camel/Arabian horse can still perform during a big game.:lol:

@SALMAN AL-FARSI

Mabrook ya akhi

.
Salem Shaker. The hero who scored the deciding penalty in the penalty shoot-out.

An Iraq-UAE final would be really beautiful but I doubt it.

:bounce:

@kollang where are you?! You were going to quote my post because I wrote that I hope that Iraq will defeat Iran which they did. "Shitty" UAE defeated the defending champions and favorites Japan as well. Now you got 2 Arab teams in the semifinals. 50% of the remaining teams are Arab just like when the tournament started.

:dance3:

why aren't you mourning right now ? lol

congrats to our iraqi brothers , we are all rooting for them :)

Mourning 24/7 is unhealthy and I already paid my respects to King Abdullah. Nothing funny about it.

Iraq's win made up a lot for the bad news and so did UAE's win. Iraq is the team I root for always together with KSA. Whatever the sport is.

Iranians rooting for an Arab country?:o:

Well any support is appreciated.

.
Iranians rooting for an Arab country?
OMG you're so stupid :lol:

iraqis are arabs , iranians some of them are arabs too . why are you so sick ? what is wrong with you ? you need to get a life man !!

why do you think iraq , lebense , syrian , yemeni , bahraini , ..... arabs will all choose a saudi over an iranian because they are "arabs" and we are not ?

hell yeah we are rooting for iraq .

remember the commander of the al-firqat al-zahbiya الفرقه الذهبیه are is arab too

so yeah , our support to iraq has nothing to do with you and you are not a part of it . we don't support them cause they are arabs we support them cause they are good people and they are our friends :)

@haman10

It's funny as you Farsis insult Arabs on a daily basis. You yourself have insulted Arabs hundreds of times on PDF. Thus Iraqis as well by virtue of the majority of them being Arabs. Let me not post all of those insults against Iraqis and Arabs posted by Iranians after this game on social media. It would be really ugly.

It's good that you are rooting for Arabs that defeated you.

mad ? i didn't kill your king :)

he died cause he was freaking old

.
The nerve-wracking penalty shootout that Iraq won deservedly.

Younis Mahmoud's penalty is insane. He did something similar two weeks ago (also against Iran) in a friendly game and failed miserably. Ice cold:lol:

The penalty shootout between UAE and Japan that UAE won deservedly. Had it not been for the incompetent and demonic Saudi Arabian FA Omar Abdul-Rahman would have played for KSA.

Highlights from the UAE-Japan game;

We thank our UAE brothers for wearing black due to the death of King Abdullah.

Abdul-Rahman must go to Europe. He is wasting his talent in the UAE.

@1000

Here in this thread you can see highlights from the two games earlier today.

Congrats Iraq, and hard luck Iran, what a great game!!, Iran played very well with 10 men only... that red card was very questionable ( stupid ref :hitwall:), but truth said, Iran fought until the end, hats off to Team Melli, and penalty shots is skill but mostly luck... and good job the Iraqi national team, they did great best of luck to Iraq and hopefully they will win this cup again...
