no. there is a HUGE difference , in terms of both genetics and culture affiliation, amongst the following 4 "Japanese Americans" even though they were ALL born in America and are ALL "Americans" :

1. born to ethnic Japanese parents, who in turn were both born in the US

2. born to ethnic Japanese parents, one, or both, of whom was born outside the US

3. born to ethnic Japanese father,

4. born to ethnic Japanese mother,

And you know it!

It has NOTHING to do with what this guy's nationality is , or even where he primirily grew up, or which language he took as the first language. his/her eventual self-identity racial-wise in adulthood would be mostly about the paternal line genetics!

Hindu claim SE Asia belongs to them. Before, it was either Hindu or Buddhist here. Even Java, the most important tribe in SE Asia, belongs to Hindus Majapahit.

Then Islam took over, thank God.

Just like China quickly become Buddhist, the Dharmic religion has a lot of appeal to native SE Asian until new kids on block Islam appears.

A SE Asia without Chinese and everyone here Hindus or Islam. Go figure out what it means for China.
