Well extension is also according to the rules and if Civilian government wants it well you know what I mean.

It would be interesting to wait and see because if he gets an extension then it means the general who is not of the choice of NS may come closer to the chief position. While NS might would want RS to retire so that the PM's choice gen remains in the run for the post.

Yes, but that extension must come from civilian side and because they need the COAS for now and not from the COAS who may feel that he is needed and civilian govt is good for nothing.

Government is offering one year. Rizwan Aslam was behind banners urging Raheel Sharif to get promotion. Rizwan Aslam want him to take that.

Rizwan Aslam's benefit is that at end of one year extension, he will be one of the senior most and amongst contenders of COAS.

Govt is offering one year because they will appoint new one before next elections and their choice will be Naveed Mukhtar. Why is that? Because Naveed's father is business partner with Ch Munir and there is also a marriage between two families. Ch Munir is samdhi of Maryam Nawaz.

Raheel wants at least two years or no extension because Naveed Mukhtar won't become COAS in either case.

Let's wait & watch, But Yes No names have been given to PM & PM thinking is of just like 1999.

He couldnt take any action yet, against corruption, and hence nothing against breaking nexus of corruption and terrorism... If we remember first three years, of Gen Kiyani, they were also very good and he was popular... Only after he accepted extension, his popularity graph fell sharply... So for the sake of his instituition and his own reputation, he should reject extension, even if offered

PA too seems to have lost balls somewhere against him since NS is proven to be man of the gulfies and many other. If we go by family relations only, then Gen Javed Ramday is also related to Justice khalil ur Ramday, whose name came in election rigging, and hence Gen Ramday can also be seen as close to Nawaz Sharif... But tht doesnt mean, tht he must be also corrupt, although in media, his appointment in media can be seen controversial..

His son is married to Ch Munir's son and Ch Munir is behind Qatar's Prince letter besides so many other things. His father is involved in DHA valley scam who even ripped of martyrs' family. So keep hoping that he is not corroupt.

Corrouption is not only in terms of money but also supporting corroupt rulers when you even had a chance to hit. Raheel did ample of that in case of PMLN. They were not touched even though PPP and MQM were hit. Latest example is so called "Breach of National Security"

What more wrong PPP and MQM had done that PMLN hasn't done technically?
