Apple to cut down prices for iPhone X, iPhone 8 and 8 Plus as demand decreases

iPhone X, iPhone 8, and iPhone 8 Plus, the Cupertino based tech giant could cut down prices on these devices earlier next year.

As firstly reported on DigiTimes, a good news for Apple fans is the expected cut down in prices of some devices. Apple might consider reducing prices for its iPhone X, which is facing lower demand than expected and is not performing as good as expected by Apple. However, rumors suggest that not only the iPhone X but all of Apple’s 2017 iPhones are not breaking as many sales records as expected, which will ultimately result in a price slash. iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus also falls in the same criteria and are likely to get a price cut.

The media outlet also affirms that major reason for decreased sales is that Apple’s 2017 phones were not able to deliver much in certain regions. The affected regions which became the cause of decreased sales include Taiwan, Singapore and surprisingly the US too.

As of now, the report reveals that initial price cut in the devices will not be enough appealing as it is predicted to be around $50. However, if the sales of the devices will not improve after this price slash, the company may be looking for an even larger price slash.

The time frame of price slash is still unknown, while rumors suggest that it’s going to happen somewhere near March when the company usually hosts a keynote at WWDC in 2018. Apple usually reveals products other than iPhones at WWDC, as it is a strictly software-centric summit. Hence, there will not be any better time to reveal price slash other than that.

I took samsung s8 over iphone 8. No regrets at all.
I was told that the S8 gets slower as time passes on and there is a bit of lag time when you switch from one app to another while multi tasking! True?

It hasn't happened to me yet. I have been using it for 6 months now. Ram is at 2.7gb at peak loads and I have a shit load of apps.

But S8 is not my work phone but the humble Mi5. I would not leave my Mi5 for the world. That pocket rocket stills runs everything even on 3GB of RAM.

any android based phone is inferior to the ios based iphones wrt fluidity, dependability and free updates, to name a few. samsung flagships are almost as expensive as their iPhone compatriots.
but for those who can ignore "atak atak ke chalna", android platform is treat for multitaskers who customize.

I recently got a approx 4000 rupees Alcatel model which runs android. I am happy with it over 70,000+ rupees Apple models.

Edit : It cost 6000 rupees.

u would not be very happy for long, i assure u.
my iphone 5s is still going strong after 3 years, my wife's barely 1 year old s7 (a flagship model) has started tottering.
for example, try playing resource hungry games in each platform. you will definitely notice the difference. the fluidity that apple provides in and out of those games with lesser specs is definitely a thing to reckon.
btw, kaafi din o baad? kaise hall chaal?

1. A correction - The Alcatel PIXI4 cost 6000 rupees and not 4000 I quoted earlier.

2. Well, at present I am using only for phone calls, camera and as internet modem to connect via USB. I am not into games. I think the phone will continue to function okay for the next two years or until 5G comes to India. :)

Sab badiya, janaab.

Well, I have taken up a HTML course so I need to practice that, hence posting less here. But you will find me regular in the female model/actress appreciation threads ( :D ), in the BD and Pak fashion threads and science&technology threads and 'Aman ki asha' type threads and so on.

is mi5 really good ?

It has a good processor which is under clocked. RAM is more than sufficient. As with all android phones it became laggy. I don't know what apps made it laggy, anyways deleted a few and phone became peppy again.

For the price of an iPhone X you can get TWO OnePlus 5T phones, which are more highly rated to begin with.

Even the most dedicated Apple fans are wondering why they are paying so much for so little.
