Apple iPhone 6 in China: 1 million pre-orders in 6 hours
Apple iPhone 6 preorders began in China Friday morning, and one week from the day would mark the beginning of physical sales – and the preorders lived up to the hype.

iPhone 6 has been, and will undoubtedly be the hottest and most talked about device that is seen in 2014. Especially with how close to the end of the calendar year it was released. There has been a long wait for iPhone fans in China though, as the company had a longer process getting through the approval process which is required for any smartphones hitting the Chinese market.

That being said, the Apple iPhone 6 and 6 Plus devices are both expected to be in short order as preorders on the three major carriers in China reached 1 million, in just 6 hours. The sales of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus devices exceeded 10 million in the first three days, in the 10 countries it was initially released to, and now the question remains – how many more can be gained from this market.

China has long been the largest smartphone market and especially amongst iPhone sales, accounting for 15-20% of total sales. That being said, more than 9 million reservations had been registered on a Chinese website called JingDong. Think of that as one of the many Amazon-style websites that are based in China.

Right now it isn’t clear which screen size, or what colors are selling most effectively, but it is clear that this is going to work wonders for advancing the overall success of the first week sales with iPhones. Even though, the launches are separate, and parted by approximately a month.

Interestingly, iPhone in China could top the initial release of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus devices in the United States, and the 10 countries that the device was first released to. It has been speculated for some time that this would be the biggest event in China due to the upgrade cycle, and how greatly they would be impacted by this upgrade cycle.

Only 1 million?And in 6 long hours?

No longer its former self!

Looks though Apple is also going down a slippery slope In China。

Taking the same path trodden by Samsung?:D

I read that's new record. So it would be not a going down.
And 9 million more ordered via Jingdong

What impressed me that Apple never has to put at a cheap price in hope for a big sale volume.
And the price of Iphone in China is one of the most expensive all over the world.

1 Phone 6 = $600

So 1 million orders = $600 million in 6 hours.

Not bad, Apple !

Of course its't a record。

iPhone 5 did much better。

Wait a few months for new statistics and you will see that Apple's market share in China is down to sub-5%。
