What's new

Appearance of " AKKOR" Turkish Active Protection System for armoured vehicles

. . .
It is obvious that you are talking about yourself here.. "subsystems" says it all.. your article does not show anything newer than what is already known.. Russians were the first into APS, transferred tech to South Korea who re-transferred tech to Turkey after developing it.. Turkey develops it further.. what is bad about this.. you are such an ignorant and arrogant newbie.. that your brain is selling you out.. go swallow your arrogant tongue and cry somewhere else..

My friend, Turkey never asked S. Korea to transfer any APS technology to Turkey. The source you shared is about Altay, not about any APS technology.

.
I don't feed trolls.. told you before.. it is very easy to find..
You dont have a source, you just made things up in your mind and now call people who ask for a source trolls, maybe mods should take care of you.

My friend.. the source talks about Altay and K2 sharing the same subsystems on top of the canon.. and transfer of technology.. most developing countries are sharing tech between them.. what is bad about it..Just Turkey who does not get ToT?

Nothing bad about sharing technology between allies. Believe me If there was any, I would have been the first one who tell it on this thread but There is not such a technology cooperation. It is purely about Tank technology consultancy service and selected subsystem exchange on early prototypes.

I understand what you mean.. the problem resides in the fact that subsystems can mean anything..and it just happens that both Akkor and KPAS look almost the same and act almost the same.. there is no shame about it.. Do you want to tell me that Turkey just invented it?

And since you usually provide sources.. I will share the source about the Russia ToT to South Korea that one of your compatriots is asking for without doing his own search..here you go:

Eastern developments
Russia was the first nation to develop and field an APS - the Drozd system that was employed on a number of T-55AD MBTs from 1983, as well as on some T-80U-M1 MBTs. Drozd is a hard-kill system that relied on unguided 105 mm fragmentation interceptors. Subsequently the Drozd-2 was developed, with this still being marketed but never having entered production for the Russian Army.
A successor, the Arena APS, and its related export version known as Arena-E, was developed in the early 1990s. Using different hard-kill EFP plates, the Arena system is not believed to have entered service with Russian forces, but is understood to have seen some degree of technology transfer or integration work onto the South Korean K2 MBT.

Well if you put your "analysis" on what "look alike"... then Akkor look like Israeli APS sys... not the Korean one...
