Turkish Tanks on Afrin Frontline to be Equipped with ASELSAN's New Hard-Kill APS AKKOR

(ntv.com.tr)

Turkish army deployed M60T tanks on the outskirts of the city of Afrin equipped with Turkish-made AKKOR system of active protection for intercepting anti-armor missiles.. were also added night vision devices and alarms and sensors..

It looks close to the South Korean APS KPAS..some say Turkey bought the technology from SK

But Turkey is also working with Ukraine on Zaslon-L APS

I didn't see any Akkor APS on the tanks moved to Syrian border but It is around possibility to integrate some early developed Akkor prototypes for front-line tanks to test the functions since critical design phase of Akkor system is being proceeded by Aselsan.

-Aselsan declared reaction time of Akkor around 1/15 seconds which is equal to 55-60ms against rocket/missile threats.
-Ukrainian Zaslon-L has a reaction time of 1/10 seconds which is equal around 100ms.
-Russia declared reaction time of ARENA export variant as 70ms.

RPG's killed by Akkor in early trials...

When Altay reached its standart protection equipment called Akkor, She will be one of the most effective ground element of Land Forces on field.

.
This is fake, even the prototypes of the AKKOR system will be ready in 2020.

There's a chance we might use the systems bought from Ukraine several months ago but even that is very slim.

I see no evidence of it as of yet.... as far as we know AKKOR is not ready.

That "some" ought to be you. :-)

Never heard this claim, its still in development by Aselsan.

Also no similarity on apparence as claimed either.

"After competing against the Leclerc and Leopard 2, the K2 established its first export customer in Turkey. In June 2007, South Korea and Turkey successfully negotiated an arms deal contract worth ₩500 billion (approximately US$540 million) licensing the cannon design of the K2, as well as exporting 40 (+15) KT-1 trainer planes to Turkey.[16]
On July 30, 2008, South Korea's Hyundai Rotem and Turkey's Otokar signed a contract worth $540 million for technological transfer and design assistance. The technology is to be incorporated to Turkey's own indigenous future main battle tank, dubbed MİTÜP Altay. Despite sharing many subsystems with the K2, such as main gun, it is expected to feature a different look and have different performance characteristics. Turkey required partial dissolution of contractual coverage from the South Korean national-defense agency in January, 2011 for reasons of the delay in development."

hard to understand why you are soooo angry! the only silly and the ignorant one here is you. and you are making yourself look more silly by quoting a wiki article inwhich active protection system is not mantioned even once! But I agree on one thing ''search before you talk'' so take your own advise before making a fool out of yourself. by your logic volkan modular fire control system is S.Korean as well ? even a bloger might be too much info for a starter like you https://below-the-turret-ring.blogspot.com.tr/2017/01/hardkill-aps-overview.html

It is obvious that you are talking about yourself here.. "subsystems" says it all.. your article does not show anything newer than what is already known.. Russians were the first into APS, transferred tech to South Korea who re-transferred tech to Turkey after developing it.. Turkey develops it further.. what is bad about this.. you are such an ignorant and arrogant newbie.. that your brain is selling you out.. go swallow your arrogant tongue and cry somewhere else..

Do you even read what you post? This is about Altay not AKKOR and the issue about Altay is technical assistance not ToT like T-129 for exsample.

Can you back your claim with a source?

Yeah, teach us about our own weapon systems that we are following it's development for years.

.some say Turkey bought the technology from SK
"Some say".....hımmm whom might they be....green little men ?

I was not gonna say it...but you are forcing.

You, adding that little sentence over there is just an inferiority complex. You can't swallow the fact that Turks are ahead of all Combined 500 Million Big Strong Arab World in terms of technology and industry. So, let's throw some shit on Turks...like they are not developing but copying it, acquiring the tech, not designing it.

Yeah, yeah whatever makes you sleep at night. The fact that you couldn't show a single source for your claims, is enough shame for you.
