This caliber can penetrate BMP3 from long distance. And cannon ammo very cheaper than antitank Missiles.

And another Russian vehicles with 57mm auti cannons. I dont know about ammo charecteristics.

I think 30x173mm ammo so weak for BMP3 and old soviet tankss.
57mm Bofors Ammo pretty and economic solution to penetrate old tanks and modern IFV.
In Ukranian war, for the beginning Russians send decommissoned old tanks and vehicle.
If you will the try hunting old T-72s and new BMPs with Javelin or Kornet(100k$), your economy will be bankrupt Because Russia have 10000 tanks and IFV ))

You should check out the Israëli HVMS (60mm), adopted e.g. by Argentina to rearm IShermans and Chile for their M24 Super Chaffee

And the Italian OTO Melara 60mm HVMS gun on Dardo IFV chassis

But .... there are plenty of high pressure 90mm gun turrets available as well. So why 'settle' for 57 or 60mm?
