Coz the ambassador said

He viewed this latest decision related to the state of Jammu and Kashmir as an internal matter as stipulated by the Indian Constitution.

The ambassador expressed hope that this decision of the Indian government would help improve the social and economic conditions and welfare of the people of the state of Jammu and Kashmir as well as Ladakh. “We expect that the changes would improve social justice and security and confidence of the people in the local governance and will encourage further stability and peace,” he added.

I agree. This whole revoluntinery instinct of stand by the underdog still exists in Iran. In 1979 I used to get a Iranian magazine which talked of freedom for Palestine, Kashmir and uniting all the Muslim world. Even took up the cudgel for Black Muslims in USA.


The problem with Iran is they have so badly played the game of geo-politics that frankly having them supporting you is penalty point. In the Pakistani politics that is as much a liability as being validated by Ahmedi priest.

It reminds of old school Maoist China of the cultural revolution era where it was like let's export the revolution everywhere and the whole red book mantra,Iran in many ways I recall reading a article in the Saker blog that Iranian Revolution was more leftist in nature however both Iran and China have matured after Khomeni death in 1989 and Maos death in 1976 both countries looked inward or started focusing on realistic geo politics I mean Tehran now has good ties with Secular Turkey and supports the Secular regime in Syria is one example of that

UAE has taken a lead in "appeasing the Hendis" and I dont blame either Arabs or non Arabs.
we cant be salty over it. we have nothing to offer other than our claim to similar religion whereas all these Muslim countries see big economic and trade ties with India and expecting them to sacrifice it for us on moral grounds alone is asking too much.

I don't want to hear the name Palestine. The Iranian Mullahs have acted more Palestinian then Palestinians at times and look what it has got them. Iran today is a isolated, sanctioned, pariah state exactly because of their dumb policies which failed to recognize geo-political realities.

I am glad we gave the finger to the Gulf Arabs over Yemen I respect those members who pushed the arguement of economic and labour ties we had but 2015 was recent times Indians already had influence in the GCC economy in terms of remittances and running their companies had we joined it will be us as canon fodder that's it all in vain
