Watching Imran press conference today, it seems he is not willing to make govt . He said, if he won't get majority seats, he will turn back opposition benches, and in same press conference , he talk about circular debt and foreign debts , which are sky rocketed in last 5 years.
Do you think its wise to make a govt in such situation ?. On top country is constantly facing water and power crisis.

Hi,

It is due to his stupidity that we are in this position of debt---. He should have over thrown Nawaz when he made the 'dharna'---.

Would have saved the nation 30*40 billion dollars of loans---.

the game plan for pak is very clear and the world powers have been acting accordingly for past many decades. they keep the top man in their pocket. he works according to their desires and in return he gets filthy rich. the country is destroyed from with in. foreign debt is increased to an extent that the country remains their slave for a long time. it is a tool to keep the country under their control. now if in pak a govt is formed which doesn't tow the line US and zionists dictate that govt is destined to be failed. economy will cripple and sanctions are applied. the population will rise against such a govt and the country goes to dogs. situation remains so till the time they public appoint the same zionist's stooge at the top again. the masses are deliberately kept poor, uneducated and poorly groomed.

I would have resigned from politics last year and settled in UK with my family.. There is no way, unless we dig gold out of reko diq in Baluchistan and pay off our debts.. With low literacy rates, low investments on technical and other education of the nation by the previous governments, decreasing water and increasing power demands, politicians being successful in letting our population believe that dams are not in their favor, industrialists moving abroad with their investments due to law enforcement agencies' failure to save them from extortionists, and because of that widening gap between imports and exports, there is no other fvckin way!

Who will pay these debts?
the only solution is to outgrow the debt..debt is about 70% of GDP it balloon to 86% during the 1990s till we defaulted in 1998 and mushi came restructured everything and left us to 56%..but Pakistani have short memory we brought the same people who even overturned a 2/3rd law to limit debt to 60% and brought it back to 70%(+10% hidden debt in public companies)

solution..debt is bad but not terrible, we simply need to outgrow debt ..increase gdp growth and outgrow the debt

its the realtive debt to GDP that matters

in simple terms, if you have debt as a person, there are two ways, either increase your income to level that debt isnt big or pay the debt back....
paying debt back is not an option given the level of austerity it will casue, all we need to do is keep the gdp growth 6+ and fiscal deficit to 4% while force defaulters to pay, just circular debt defualters are 600 billion+

There is a saying - "If you have a small debt then you are in trouble. If you have big debt then the one who loaned you is in trouble."

Fortunately In the case of Pakistan it is the latter.

Pakistan should just keep borrowing 1-2 billion dollars every month from China and should not approach IMF.

China has no option now but to keep lending money to support Pakistan stay afloat.

The Chinese will just take ownership of the projects though.

Who will pay these debts?

Simple. More debt will pay previous debt.

:omghaha: this is funny.

Anyway Imran Khan knows about economy as much as any other Pakistani. This is why people like him, he talk like any ignorant Pakistani out there.

Debt isn't bad, depend where it was spent and GDP to dept ratio. CPEC debt is not bad at all...

N-league wasted billions of $ trying to keep rupee artificially over valued. Because common Pakistani is stupid and believe value of rupee must stay low for reason even if it hurt economy. Nawaz who's another ignorant and intellectually dumb politician said rupee value decreased because he was removed.
