Any replacement for Bangladesh A-5 jets?

MiG-29 would be the best replacement since they already have some.

They might be looking at JF-17 or J-10 to add another type.

No - A-5 is a ground attack while the Mig 29 is a air superiority fighter.

A good replacement would be a strike aircraft and since they already operate Chini aircrafts, J-10 would be good.

Radar is KLJ-07 a Chinese radar not Russian.

And that is exactly what he said by "RADAR is still made in China".

BTW not only he needs to get educated ;

he J-7 is reportedly similar in basic design to Phazotron N010 Zhuk family of radars; both Phazotron NIIR and rival radar house NIIP have worked closely in the past with Chinese radar design bureaux and provided technical assistance as well as operational models of Russia-made radar sets that were used as benchmarks in the process of Chinese firms developing their own designs

I would say BAF to go for JF-17 thunder...easy to operate, low cost and u can add more number...

For 1 mig-29 cost u can buy 2 JF-17..and JF-17 is a multi role,whereas MIg-29 is Air superiority fighter

Get mig-35 just 40 mill a piece and far more better than mig 29 jf 17 and russians may provide a good deal too

I dnt think its possible as of now

Engine imported from Russia, RADAR still manufactured in China

You desperately need to educate yourself - China has hundreds of RD-93D in storage and Russians are committed to keep supplying the engines as they are making money out of it.

WS-13 is undergoing flight tests already , as soon as its ready it would be replacing RD-93 and that would be a goodbye to Russians.

Radar is KLJ-07 a Chinese radar not Russian.

Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman said the indigenously produced radar, built with China's assistance at the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC), in Kamra, north of Islamabad, would equip the JF-17 'Thunder' fighter aircraft jointly produced by the two countries.

"This is a major step forward. This will be the first such [radar manufacturing] facility in Pakistan," ACM Suleman said in an interview on 21 December at PAF headquarters in Islamabad. He confirmed that the radar would be fitted on the JF-17, which, along with US-supplied F-16 Fighting Falcons, is set to be the PAF's front-line combat aircraft.

Previous reports suggest that the radar to be manufactured will be the Chinese-built CETC/NRIET KLJ-7 radar set. At the 2010 Farnborough Air Show, at which two JF-17s made their debut in the West, reported that the KLJ-7 had received full marks from the JF-17's designers at PAC.

A PAC programme officer told : "I have flown with this radar and with other models that we have looked at fitting to this aircraft, such as the Thales RC400, and the Chinese radar is every bit as capable as its contemporary analogs."

Any confusions now that RADAR is still being made in China?

DRDO..I dnt think its possible as of now, Engine imported from Russia, RADAR still manufactured in China

DRDO, how is it not possible.
Lets apply your logic to iaf, mki has equipment from israelis, french and russians and some locally built.

BAF operates russian fulcrum with RD engines. It would even be much more easier for BAF to directly deal with russians if they need to replace or over haul those engines in the future.

Politically and expensive choice for BAF currently is mig-29, Logical choice should be JF-17 for obvious reasons of a low cost 4th Gen Fighter capable to perform both A2A/A2G in roles for the airforce and Navy, but it seems Myanmar is the main cause/headache for BAF..

The most likely replacement would be equally political and threat perception.

With around 160 aircrafts in inventory both on order and delivered that is JH-7, mig-29s, J-7, A-5s at the moment Myanmar has the upper hand.

What BAF needs is to hi low combination of Mig-29s and JFTs with numbers won't matter if the systems and technology is superior to what Myanmar has. It would be comfortable scenario to see 2 squadrons of JFTs and 1 more squadron of mig-29s and upgrades of current squadron to the standards.
Bangladesh has very good relations with both China and russia soft loans can be arranged.
I think $1.5 billion dollars worth deals for 2 squadrons of JFT and a squadron and upgrades of mig-29s is feasible.

BD won't be sold the same stuff which PAF or PLAF uses but still there would be risk of India "getting close and personal" to those. So even though there are less chances of it.. it is still a risk.

Funny thing is that No one from Bangladesh is engaging in the discussion..We should let them decide...
