Any other Pakistani facing similar problems?

The only little hiccup I ever had in Europe was when scanners at a baggage control picked up something long, pointy and metallic in my cabin baggage. I told them it was only a sword! It was in its sheath, out of an antique shop and meant to put on the wall. Still they made me reroute my sole light bag through hold baggage and waste time collecting it, but the security people seemed awfully amused.

They didnt let me travel with this

saying this is a weapon..and you were travelling with a sword..

You know I have always been treated with respect in every airport in UK due to my student visa. No body does it that way he did. You can tell who is asking for his genuine concerns and who is doing it deliberately and taking cheap jabs at you!

I had a situation in Turkey where the immigration officer singled me out for body search...and would lift my shirt over and over again..I dont know what he was looking for,as i was wearing a t-shirt and jeans..
Some people are overzealous.

what should i do- after long hours of flight- the first opportunity i get i will try to smoke- its frustrating to ask for a lighter- specially in situations where you have to smoke illegally- like in airport toilets -

I always carry two sticks with me so I can make a fire.

Well, I went to Manchester last year. The immigration desk cleared 3 flight(2 from Australia, 1 from Israel) before the first Pakistani passport holder was allowed past the immigration authorities.

Thats why when my relatives and friends ask me to pick them up from Manchester airport i always arrive after 1 hour of plane's landing..
I know that they will be the last people to leave the airport...

Nothing abnormal in that. There is more likelihood of secondary questioning needed with certain nationalities due to global events, not due to personal animosity.

The Pakistanis @ Manchester airport should find an alternate route- Manchester immigration is notorious-
