that is different story which is more related with business and profit but this does not questionthe capability of the weapon. Meanwhile there is no harm in sharing profit and India did not say that they cannot develop their own version. Infact they will be more in Profit since it will cost them only half.
bottomline why Russia need to buy Brahmos when they have Yakhont either land, air or sub launched version. And that's not true about your statement about profit: with Yakhont, when Russian military will pay domestic price, if they buy Brahmos, they will have to pay the price agree amount India and Russian company which export price...and generally export price is much much higher than domestic price...that partially explain why Brahmos~ $2.73million & Yokhont~$1.12 million per unit !
