1 million plus Ballistic helmets

1 million plus modular BPJs

2 million plus modern assault rifles with ubgl's and night vision

1500 air defense guns

2000+ IFV's/ light tanks

and thats just the army....


Anthony is a disgrace. he has done so little for the forces in all of his years as DM. Its time for someone like Fernandes to come back. At least he purchased arms when they were needed and didn't hold multiple trials with no contracts being signed.

For a budget of $39 billion you guys don't have a lot to show for it, your navy and air force have done all right, but your army is behind us in both SPA, and towed arty.

Panter is being manufactured in country, and is very state of the art, add the M109 SPA guns. Also personal kit, because of the WoT is getting very good.

on one hand - its perfectly understandable....his objective is to secure more spending for defence. Simple as that, i wont even blink an eye.

However, to talk about this "nexus" is quite comical. Our military ties with China stem back to the early 1960s. Why yap about it now as if it's a new phenomenon

We will never buy our mosr imporatnt parts of defence from them, for strategic purposes as they are not reliable..
