Anti Muslim riots are igniting across Sri Lanka.
For now the areas affected are Kuliyapitiya, Hettipola, Bingiriya Dummalasuriya Rasnayakapura & Kobeigane.
Curfew has been imposed after a few mosques were hit.
By most reports its the christians who are attacking the mosques.

Early morning attack on 3 mosques, there was also an attack on the puvella village last night carried out by some groups. Shops of some Muslim traders in Karantippala were ransacked as well.
Images from a protest that gathered as a result of inaction by the administration as threats of the attacks were released hours ago via Social media.
At Least the international news calls it what it is, Ethnic Riots.
This is what the church attackers wanted. Such actions will only reinforce the jihadist narrative that Muslims are under attack and help their efforts to radicalize and recruit more people to their twisted cause.

Sri Lankan Army has announced the use of maximum force to curb any rioters.
There is news that curfew will be imposed in all SL today.

There have been no riots in SL. A few gangs vandalising Muslim shops at night which the Government is trying to show as riots and imposing curfew.
The only thing close to a riot was Christians beating up a man who threatened Sri Lanka. Even your own images says in Sinhala that Al Jazeera is making up nonexistent riots
Ask the Sri Lankans who are in Sri Lanka. The govt is just trying to delay the elections by making it look more unstable than it really is.There have been no riots and even the houses of Muslims and Mosques that were found stockpiling weapons are still standing. There should be Provincial council elections now and then Presidential election followed by General election early next year.

It is clearly not a riot. A Riot is when both community attack each other, this is more like a program.
Anyway, I think the SL authority did a good job of clamping down and maintaining the peace and diffusing the situation.
The muslim council of SL has issues guidelines to promote common Sri Lankan identity; these include restriction on Azan, removal of Arabic sign boards.
I applaud SL for this.
However if the same thing was ever to be tried in India, we would be accused of oppressing muslims. lol.
This is the difference when the muslim population is less than 10% and More than 10%.

There are numerous hindu activists from the RSS and its affiliated organisation and their female family members have been stabbed and hacked to death in tamil nadu in the last 15 years...in retaliation not even a single muslim has been killed...and people say minorities are being oppressed...well not in my state...the minority can kill the majority with no retaliation...they are only doing this as tamils are pussies unlike the sri lankans...its no wonder tamil got their *** handed to them by the much braver Sri lankans.
So far there are 148 CASES OF SEX CRIMES AGAINST HINDUS IN 2019 BY MUSLIMS in India.

wow if only the corrupt media showed it on their prime time...when i was in the rss one auditor who was my superior was hacked to death and another barely survived with severe knife wounds and was admitted in apollo...as a self defence we were told to carry weapons for personnel safety...but i refused as i am very bad at fighting...i would cut myself open and inflict more damage than the attacker
and not a single news channel showed the attacks...this tweet is enough ammunition for the next 10 years for the hindus...but we dont have much friends in the media sadly....btw this guy was caught in a sex scandal...and he even challenged that their is no black magic and anyone can do it to him if hey dared...and some guy in my state actually made him fight for his life...and his family members intervened and begged that guy to remove it...and he later stopped challenging it....even he was humiliated by his own brethren publicly for backing off

Out of the 600 foreigners including 200 hardcore maulvis (Muslim religious preachers) deported by Colombo over the last week after the suicide bombings there, over a 100 were Indians. They, along with those from Pakistan and Maldives, were suspected to be engaged in radicalisation in the Sri Lankan mosques.
Besides the Indians, clerics from Pakistan and Maldives have also been deported in large numbers owing to their terror links that emerged after serial suicide bombings in Colombo on Sunday Easter last month that took a toll of over 250 persons including 11 Indians. Besides the 200 maulvis, the 400 other individuals are also suspected to have travelled on tourist visas but have been essentially been engaged in radical preachings, sources said.
Sri Lankan authorities have identified about 1,200 such individuals who are being screened for terror links and depending upon antecedent verification more such clerics are likely to be deported to the respective countries.
The revelation of the Indian maulvis in radicalisation activities in the island nation has set alarm bells ringing in the security establishment here as they apprehend the international terror groups might have developed a hub of such transnational radical preachers in the country.
The deportations began on Tuesday after the Sri Lankan authorities informed the respective foreign missions on the issue. By Thursday, the 600 such radicals were deported to the respective countries.
Pakistani clerics have infiltrated the mosques in the region including in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Myanmar and Maldives and even in some of the ASEAN countries. These clerics are being exploited by the Pakistani Inter-Services Intelligence for the larger design of implementing state agenda of sponsoring terror in the neighbourhood, sources said.
The sources said such radical clerics are also part of the transnational radicalization networks of the international terror groups like the Al Qaeda and ISIS who have a long term agenda of radicalisation and subsequently recruit them into their fold for their terror designs, including logistics management chain and funding through illegal narcotics supply chain.
During the last over two years, Indian clerics in large number, as revealed by the Sri Lankan deportation, are also taking up jobs of Islamic preaching in foreign shores.
In the wake of the development, the challenge for the security agencies is two-fold: first, to keep tabs on their activities after their deportation, and secondly to establish their role and extent of involvement in radicalization during their stay in Sri Lanka, insiders said.
Officials also said the Indian security agencies will have an onerous task ahead to contain the impact of the deported radical clerics.
They said counter-terrorism and security-related issues come under the domain of the security agencies in so far as Sri Lanka is concerned as any adverse activity there has a direct bearing on the security calculus in South India, especially Tamil Nadu.
Ahead of carrying out the suicide bombing in Colombo, chief National Thowheed Jamat Zaharan Hashim had stayed in South India for three months but remained undetected by the Intelligence Bureau.
