Protests are worthless - they are the opium of the masses who have swallowed the "democracy" bullsh!t.

All that matters is who has the influence, and influence usually lies with money and/or media ownership.

As long as India, Inc. feels that Modi helps them, he will stay. If there is a significant negative effect on India, Inc. because of Modi (unlikely), they will boot out Modiji so fast, before you can spell d-e-m-o-c-r...

The only sensible comment. Obvious to anyone who has charted Modi's rise over the last 3-4 years. From a lunatic Hindutva fringe who supported him, Modi has surprisingly become a pan-India leader. Powerful business houses have been served well in Gujarat, and they expect him to replicate it nationwide. Whether by design or coincidence- UP is boiling communally, Mamata is hit by Sharada and Jadavpur, Jaya imprisoned. Congress has been reduced to insignificance. Any credible opposition has been battered into insignificance, and BJP feels powerful enough to let go of trouble-making Shiv Sena. This is of course not to suggest that the rise of India Inc. is a bad thing for the people. That remains to be seen.
