When exactly did I bring India? Show me. Why are you conflating my tags with india? DO you as an individual represent your government in this forum? May be you do, i don't know but Why the jingoism? This is an open forum. You can quietly ignore my tags if you want but why fret with nationalist jargons when there is absolutely no need to.

Btw I do consider Hindutvadis collectively (eg. BJP , RSS and their activists) as representative of India both in virtual and real world.

Because India is unfortunately only country where majority are Hindus..and if you tag any Hindus and try to insult them, me like person will be responding to you.

.
Who was he? What was his policies? Before his death I bet none of the Indians you tagged would have heard of him

Many Indians would even fail to locate Uzbekistan on the map

Uzbekistan buries President Islam Karimov

Islam Karimov Dies at 78, Ending a Long, Ruthless Rule of Uzbekistan

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/09/03/world/asia/uzbekistan-islam-karimov-obituary.html?_r=0

--------------------------------------------------------

Uzbekistan the land of some of the greatest scholars of Islam like Imam Bukhari and Imam Tirmidhi (May Allah have mercy on them) saw some of the worst repressions against muslims in the last 100 years. While under USSR control Islam was literally banned. Stalin's massacre and purges also specifically targeted muslims in large numbers. Then with the collapse of USSR , like all other c.asian "stans" a local communist party strongmen named Islam Karimov took over Uzbekistan. Disappearances and torture of opposition leaders islamic or not is a norm in Uzbekistan. All opposition is officially banned and the brunt of state repression is faced by islamic groups. Karimov justified all his actions against muslim under the guise of fighting radicalism which suited perfectly with US war on Islam code named "war on terror" after 2001. This is what happened just two months back :

No Shave, No Soccer: Bearded Uzbek Fans Report Being Barred From Stadium
http://www.rferl.org/content/uzbek-soccer-fans-beards-stadium-banned/27775057.html

The biggest massacre happened in 2005 in the city Adijan where State security establishment killed an conservatively estimated 187 people at least. A defector from Uzbec security apparatus claimed the number is as high as 1500. International Human rights groups believe in a far higher number than 187 died in that incident. Karimov justified the massacre saying that the demonstrators in Adijan were Islamic terrorist. Both Moscow and Washington considered him indispensable and Karimov played them off each other quite well for his regime's survival. He kept on receiving generous US aid and Moscow's support. Hijab is officially banned in Uzbekistan and practicing muslims are monitored. Building mosques requires fulfilling strict regulations and teaching religion is private is banned. Islamic expressions is banned in public and state institutions and such bans are rigorously enforced. He is now reported dead with NO successor in place. He didn't develop a single institution and mechanism of transition and concentrated all power in his own hand.

so that's why US supported this dictator and didn't interfere with "democracy"???

Well said, I can appreciate your post. Because it was same thing with me here. And I voted yes because @Luffy 500 didn't left an option to say No for me.

This thread has nothing to do with India. I tagged members of all ideological orientation as i do in all my threads. And likewise i tagged open secularists and Hindutvadis who advocate directly or indirectly , subtly or explicitly oppression and repression of islam and muslims. This is an open forum where we learn about other countries and people. Also this Uzbec president was a warrior of secularism who did what many hindutvadis hope to do in 21st century india. So you can show your condolences like many of your countrymen did here.

Excellent options in the vote! :D

Thanks. Actually I phrased it such a way that members like you can feel comfortable while voting and expressing your opinion.

Yeah hindutvavadi breeding out the terrorists all over the world.... While Islamic terrorism pouring the love of brotherhood with gunshots...
However truth is bitter.....

These are NOT truth. What you are parotting is half-truth , propaganda and cliche rhetoric of anti-islamic forces of the world. There would have been NO terrorism as you put it IF there were no western backed dictators and kleptocratic nepotism of a westernized ruling class in post-colonial muslim states. Whenever people rose up in any part of the muslim world global secular powers whether its US or Russia rushed to backed despotic regimes to crush the people. NO state institutions were allowed to be build for stability and accountability. Gadaffi , Mubarak , Nasser, Bourguiba , King Abdullah, Saddam , Assad , were all one man one party shows serving interest of some foreign power. Military of these countries are literally mercenary forces designed to kill their own people when ordered by their foreign masters eg. Egypt military is classic case of a mercenary force. Whenever there was any chance of pro-people parties/forces coming to power , there were western intervention. Eg- When islamic parties were about to win Algeria's election in 1990 , the ruling one party regime cancelled the second round of votes and were backed by the west and specially France. The Islamic party leaders were violently crushed and tortured while the Algerian state security covertly formed a militant group composed of some disgruntled opposition activists and this was done to put the label of terrorism on Algerian islamic forces. There was a bloody civil war for 10 years because one secular party could NOT accept defeat and loss of power and the West could not stand muslim ruling their own lands. This western secular imperialism is the primary fuel of terrorism and this is accepted and espoused by western academics now.

so that's why US supported this dictator and didn't interfere with "democracy"???

Not only US but also Russia. Most C.Asian Regimes vigorously court russia for survival. US truns a blind eye as long as russian dictators are keeping the muslims out. Russia-US-China all compete for a peace of the pie of C.Asian resources (oil , Gas, uranium etc). If there was an uprising in Uzbekistan you can be sure Russian tanks will be rolling down Uzbec streets to quell the uprising and restoring "order" with full backing of US and the west. When it comes to keeping muslim world colonized the US, Russia and China are pretty much on the same page.

Thanks. Actually I phrased it such a way that members like you can feel comfortable while voting and expressing your opinion.

I am not aware of all these thing but here I am part of the society and me and almost all enjoy all rights and freedom. I have been to many countries in past viz. Canada, Europe, Mid East, Australia. I do hold a multi purpose visa for USA valid till 2020. Yesterday I went through a thread of a Scientist and a professor who was denied a Schengen visa and the thread ultimately it lead me to Dawn which had same discrimination against different person say be it Germany, China , US. Its time for introspection and I am proud to be an Indian. I am well placed with an Indian MNC and in a good position, when I compare myself to global standards. Moreover I am full of confidence towards future. I feel self belongingness toward the society which have given me and my family that sort of standards and freedom which is there for all to be enjoyed. There do are some voices which are being highlighted in so called TRP hungary media.

@Luffy 500 you and your super BS jihadi polls .. Man u and few others sound like a hard core hizbut tehrir (HT) aka (ISIS / ISIL) member ...

By the way does this opinion apply on pakistan as well !!!!??

Same feeling here. How could any sensible human vote for option 2. Moreover why to build rifts and differences. If somebody ask a muslim why all non-muslims are termed as Kafirs , then we do have to explain many things about Islam and ourselves to him.

these radical extremists have a mind set according to them " its their way or decapition on a highway " secularism is about simply separating the religion and state affairs ..
