If we build that technology but the question is does we use that?? No...
We need to improve our economy by reducing our defense budget to 60% for the next 5 years..
Then we will be able to back our military with even 100% increase in budget. One thing more the next big war will be at 2019 approx when republicans come into power. Its the mentality of Americans that one decade they go for all out war and in the next they do some cover ups.
We can buy weapons from 2016 and in between those years we should build economy PLZ.

Agreed but detecting drones is not and has never been the issue. Political and military will has always been the problem. Misguiding public about what it wants to its actions and understanding is the problem. Technology was never the problem.

agreed on that....those who have actually seen predator and other widely used American drones can tell that the plane is slow flying and has exposed engine rotors (the best radar reflector)..Drones can be detected on normal radars..Pakistan wont shoot them down due to political reasons...

i did not understand the video...looked like he is using FM for airplane detection and utilizing some sort of frequency change..
Can somebody comment on the technical side of this concept please????

Yes,its the concept that matters..he did demonstrate that an obstruction in front of his FM transceiver registers some sort of frequency change...I am not sure about his computer display,as he did not go into details....But the concept of using frequency change in an FM transceiver is the main thing...
May be some techies on this forum can comment further on the concept?

What is an anti-drone technology ?..an ordinary radar can pick up a drone flying at decent height ..unless it is stealthy.. are we saying that these college guys have developed tech to counter stealth ??..I don't think so..what they have developed is basically a motion sensor..availabe at Radoishack for a few dollars..use for turn on lamps bugular alarms in houses.

on another note, any good radar and missile system is good enough to take out drones. i wish they could develop political and military will also, cas thats wat is lacking in pakistan.
