What's new

انقلاب ? Inqilab ? Revolution ?

State of Pakistan is in the firm grip of utterly characterless criminals. IK alone can't do anything.

The Establishment is doing what it always does; playing both sides against the middle to secure their own interests.

Our establishment is essentially pro-US and they will never let anyone antagonize the Yankees to the point of confrontation.

It's not just our internal problems / rot that's in play here .. IK has crossed a red line by trying to challenge the international establishment/status quo. The last Pakistani leader to do that was ZAB and we all know how it ended for him....

Choose what you want, full Sharia or secular democracy, enough of dangling in between both.
The liberals and educated want democracy, the fundamentalists want full Sharia.
Pakistanis must decide what they want.

Does India have democracy / secular democracy ? You as an India-origin person must decide too.

So, apparently, no way out. IK has to go and the Mafia again back to full and complete power.

The Establishment, unfortunately, has no problem with the Mafia doing corruption as long as they don't try to overstep their limits. NS was ousted twice not for corruption or misgovernance but for trying to undermine the power of establishment. In fact, the Establishment prefers corrupt and deal-making leaders like Zardari as it's always easier to work with them. IK was brought to power to undermine PMLN (Nawaz esp). IK has already outlived his utility.

The Establishment (local as well as international) wants Zardari back in power, but without PPP winning absolute majority. But there are factions within establishment that are opposed to it, and most importantly Allah is the best of planners. Let's see what happens

There are two crimes for which there is no legal punishment if you are successful; one is suicide, the other is revolution.

India has secular democracy, but this secularism can not be used to further the concept of religious exclusivity, superiority, and dominance over other religions.
India's has a very functional democracy otherwise we would have been couped up by our military or India would have split up like our western neighbour.

So that cancel's out the Modi government then.

Well, let's first decide what is a democracy and what is not. and then we will decide if India has it. Please read this post of mine and we can continue discussion there.
