KARACHI: The activists of Awami National Party (ANP) demonstrated in front of governor house by keeping dead body of a party supporter who was killed in the city by unknown gunmen, SAMAA reported Wednesday.

ANP supporter Wali Dad was gunned down last night by unidentified gunmen.

The funeral prayer of the slain supporter was offered in Gulshan-e-Jamal. After funeral prayer ANP activists brought the dead body to the governor house and staged demonstration. Police fired tear gas shells to disperse the demonstrators. SAMAA

KARACHI: Seventeen people became victims in renewed start of target killings in the city on Wednesday.

Police said the incidents of target killings took place in Sir Syed Town, Kuti Pahari, North Karachi, Abul Ispahani road and other areas.

Meanwhile, President Awami National Party Shahi Syed, heading a delegation, called on Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah to discuss the issue of target killings.

The chief minister took strict notice of the killings started during the last 24 hours and called for effective steps to maintain law and order.

He assured the ANP delegation that killers involved in target killings would soon be arrested and awarded exemplary punishment.

He directed the law enforcing organisations and administration to bring the criminals to book.—DawnNews/APP

MQM is pushing its luck by killing Pashtuns, Punjabis, Muhajirs, PPP and PTI workers etc on a daily basis and if another crack down is done then they will cry they are victims of state. The government needs to crack down and start seizing the weapons, real estate and assets with the units that are involved in killings.

MQM will also say that it is someone from outside. Yes, that is correct, someone from Lun done or guess who, it must be one of the Bhai's, Kamal Bhai or Altaf Bhai.

Yes but why these target killings of political workers happen in karachi only?
where mqm indulges in controversies with opponents the target killings happen.

target killing is going on everywhere
target killing is common in province of balochistan and pakhtunkuwa
Attack on sheikh rasheed in rawalpindi was also an example of target killing

Target killing which happened yesterday was between people of hazara jirga and Anp
PPP and MQM has nothing to do with it

Although I am a fan of mushy but one of the bloodiest day of blood bath in Karachi happened at the time of Musharraf with his tacit approval I would say... If you have not forgotten then do a search on 12 May 2007.

i live in Karachi my dear
sultanabad has large number of hazara population you can see what happened in sultanabad today
targetkilling which happened yesterday had nothing to do with ppp or mqm

Anp cannot digest the fact that hazara qaumi jirga is doing successful rallies in Karachi
