These are interesting people, and their lect belongs to the Oghuz or the Turkish branch. Look the the blond kid but otherwise their features are mongoloid.

Though they speak a Turkic language,but they are more similar to the Huis rather than Uyghurs,like the Huis,the Salars also have Chinese surnames,and the Salars get along with the Huis,for example,there are many Salar settellers in Xinjiang,they go to the Hui mosque,not the Uyghur ones,and people ofen mistaken them as Huis
