Why PA have not introduced 70mm Cirit or 90mm Laser guided rockets, will be cheaper to produce in numbers also have multiple use in combat.
We don't have funds for such advanced systems, it's difficult to deploy it at LOC, we use single 122 mm rockets but not as MRLS because that risks the escalation, that the enemy might use also high calibre weapons, we prefer to use retired and defensive weapons, such as SPG-9, 122 mm single rocket launcher, 12.7mm HMG, MG-3, 23mm AA Gun, 14.7mm AA Gun, 106mm recoilless gun, ATGM Bakthar Shikan( we mastered to produce that in masses at a very cheap price, otherwise, we would not use it at the LOC), because the Phylosphie of Pakistan Army at the LOC is a defensive strategy, offensive and high tech weapons are reserved only for the strike corps and elite formations (economical thinking and lack of funds), the offensive weapons are reserved for the war, while the retired weapons and their old ammo stockpiles are used during peacetime at the western and eastern front. Secondly, direct firing weapons are only used, when the enemy posts and bunkers is only 100 meters away, in more hilly terrain and longer distances, indirect fire by Artillery guns and mortars is prefered, here the same thinking to use older guns and ammunition such as the WW2 British Guns which we used during the Kargil war.
@Basel your Idea is going in the right direction, Pakistan needs more offensive and especially precise weapons, which can take out enemy bunkers with one hit, something like a Javelin missile., which is small in size and does not risk the escalation ladder.
See where the 106mm Gun has landed, once a part of the Strike Corps, now the punch of the FC!
