For the 14th of Aug preparation, instead of hoisting Pakistan flag all over Islamabad. PPP hoist party flag. Amazing PPP. Shameful act, one after another?. On the other side we already facing turmoil in Baluchistan, where Baluchi hoist there nationalist flag on 11th Aug as independence from British, and raise the slogan of freedom. Where is Pakistaniat among us?

What the hell is this?Where the hell is our so called democratic MNA's.Why are they not doing anything at all...do something in parliment.

What is shameful about this? The PPP aren't from mars they are from Pakistan. This has nothing to do with 14 Aug how shameful for some members to post bias and propaganda when our national day is approaching. That is the real shame.

Lets be festive about Pakistan and not dilute the atmosphere with propoganda.

Hoisted on the birth anniversary of Benazir Bhutto, yes, PPP’s flags are still ton display in the heart of Islamabad . Some 18 days have already but nobody knows how long these flags will remian hoisted in the capital city. These flags are giving Islamabad a look of PPP’s own capital rather than Pakistan’s capital . I wonder if this public display of PPP’s flags is the decision of some bureaucratic ‘chamcha’ who is trying to please our accidental-president Mr Zardari for some monetary gains or is it the decision of the federal government itself ? Well, whatever it is, this is a non-democratic action and could lead to political confrontation. Democracies do not behave in such a manner but such an attitude could be observed in countries where authoritarian rule is in place . Last year, we have gone through a transition from an authoritarian system of governance to a democrtic system of governance. Our elected government should at least show some democratic norms if they consider themselves ‘democratic’ or they should stop claiming to be a ‘democratic’ government.

Although not a supporter of the PPP, is that picture corroborated to be that of on the occasion of 14th August? What if it is a picture from a PPP rally welcoming BB?

This pic looks more like a bridge in Karachi ... what place is this in Islamabad?

Not sure if this picture is from Islamabad, but when I was there last month, every main road, avenue and specially the parliament road was full of PPP flags. Didn't see any SINGLE Pakistani flag.

Have they (PPP) restored Quaid's pictures in govt. offices and Presidency?
Democracy is a far cry, Pakistan looks more like a Kingdom.
There should not be any doubt that PPP hates Pakistan.

it was how they fed propaganda in the old days I see the PPP just like that showing the new government in PEPCO ads and how today on the 14th of August I was continuously seeing the efforts of BB and her sacrifices like as if whatever people gave at 1947 was worthless.

I have never yet seen a Republican Party or Democractic Party flag lining the streets in the US, nor have I seen a Liberal Party or Labor Party flag in Australia.

It just goes to confirm what the author of the article in this thread says:

All Pakistani politicians are provincial at best. None one them, not a single one, has the statesmanship to be a national visionary leader.

Great move by PPP.. Host flags of PPP at every house of Pakistan.
