LOL. Do you homework instead of watching some sample BBC footage. Go to your city's JuD office and ask about Shia support in the Valley. Srinagar has been cleared of its Shia population. I live there. I know more than BBC or even Indian Doordarshan.And do you know what is happening in there? Do you know that Muharram is not allowed in Srinagar? The only place in India? Guess why?

Divide and rule has been an Indian policy thus divisions are being created between shias and sunnis to strengthen the Indian cause and weaken the Kashmiri one.LOL. The fact remains that the riots and threat of riots is very real and many places bear a curfew like situation. Hurriyat called a hartal this Muharram to protest Indian rule. LOL.
You see they were not against Muharram, their strike just coincided with Muharram, that's all.
