I think that is not right unless they seek refugee status. It is unwise to grant them citizenship based on religion. India is secular. It cannot and must not allow anyone to join us based on being a minority religion. Then Tamils from Srilanka must be allowed to join India. It will be endless. Remember we are Indians before being Hindu, sikh, Jain, Muslim or christian. We cannot share our scarce resources with tom, dick and harry!

India has communal and non secular forces. However the government cracks down whenever media exposes them. Thanks to the media, we see more cultured Indians on the streets. Cities are almost neutral on religion and castes. The issue is still there in small villages and towns. Things are getting better in India.

3. We have given shelter to Bangladesh Hindus and Buddhists (and tolerated illegal pole vaulters).
4. We have thousands of Tamils living in refugee camps, many have settled here.
5. We continue to give preference to Sikh and Hindu groups from Pakistan.

All this is policy and has been done. So yes, when shyte hits the fan and the Dharmic communities come here, my motherland will give them the minimum to sustain themselves. Does this make India non secular? Well, I am not bothered.

So yes, India does provide some incentives to Hindu refugees from Pakistan for example, and this policy will continue. Indeed, in reality things are not so rosy, so we will make things easier for them.

The difference between you and us is that you won't find us rushing in condone these crimes. Crime happens everywhere. Pakistan is no exception. The sickening thing is you're worried about showing Indians up rather than the fact that a 12 year old was forced to marry someone.

Why not? BTW Muslims wanted another country, they got two in 1947 and 1971. Those who stayed back are Indians and are my brothers. Hindus were never given this choice in 1947. Those who are getting persecuted in BD/ Pakistan, where should they go? If we can accept millions of BD Muslims in 1970-71, thousands of Tibetan refugees, why not the last few remaining Hindus who are getting killed in their own motherland before Muslims came in 900 AD?
