To Myanmar It will be JFT B OR Block 3 Block 2 is out of list...

Confirmed deals: Nigeria, Myanmar
Confused deal: Sri Lanka
Interested deals: Qatar, Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia
Canceled deals: Argentina, Malaysia

Hopefully numerous nations will consider blk3 for export. It will be best replacement out there for Mig21/F5 operators.

Should Egypt be included in this list?

IMO it would be JF-17 B or Block 2 as block 3 is not ready yet, it will take time.
most probably JFTB...THe same time it will introduced and the same time it will be handed over to MAF

.
if this is block 3 with AESA with a good deal on a weapons package, then nice buy

but for $15 million more they could be buying Mig-35 which is superior, but would cost more to fly and maintain compared to JF-17

. .
All counties which buy from China plus some new one because of pak will eventually buy but jf need something like k8 Egyptian customer which bought 4/5 sqn in number 80/120

If we add all Chinese african customers then 1 to 2 sqn by half a dozen coutries like sudan, Zimbabwe etc Chinese are also trying to sell to south Americans to add new market

Pak focus is also on new Russian republics like Turkiamistan Azerbaijan etc

Total 100 to 200 export number is feasible in next decade or so

Current 16 plus what ever is the final no for Nigeria rumors 20 i.e about 36 for now

Operational and Maintenance Cost will be much lower compared to Mig-35 of JFT ..
Put a AESA + HOBS and Moderate EW Suit in JF it will Take Mig-35 head on :)
might get the kill because of large RCS of Mig's

The officers of the Myanmar Air Force confirmed that the purchase of a JF-17 «Thunder» fighter jets was approved. They said the order was part of a deal signed by China, Pakistan , and Myanmar.

As per PAF sourcez, Myanmar was the first country to place an order, so they were ahead of Nigeria.

Based on saf inventory they will eventually replace it with Chinese /PAC as their current fighter inventory is almost all same origin Cj-6/k8/j7

Overhauled by PAC, even saf c-130s are now being overhauled/repaired (Pdm) by paf per paf history 1999-2013

Hi,

But the if you add a little more to that---then you can get to the next step after the mig35---.

Then it becomes just like buying a car---. I went to buy a toyota Rav4 LE---and drove out with an XLE---.

Myanmar made a very wise decision---it went with a tested and a reliable system---all weapons are available---all parts are available and after sales service won't be a problem.
